Charlie's has THE BEST Fish Fry , not only in East Aurora, but in the whole area. It's crunchy on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. Comes with the usual sides plus choice of potato. It's enough for 2 meals and at the lowest price around. Delicious.
We were a group of three ordering lunch about 12:30 pm. After our order was placed, the waitress returned to say the soup ordered would not be ready for another hour so that person settled for a different choice. The waitress again returned to say my chili wasn’t ready either so I settled for a sub. The third person’s French fries were undercooked and limp so I gave her mine as it would have taken too long to get a new order. The price listed for my sub was $9.00 but I was charged $12.00. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she said “prices went up”. To be fair, a portion of the bill was reduced for the poor food but no one in my family will eat here again.
