One of our go to spots for a casual relaxed time with excellent food and service and quiet enough to be able to hear friends across the table. The special halibut entree was excellent and very lightly prepared over greens, mushrooms and cauliflower puree. One friend had a salmon rice bowl and another a strip steak and fries. Something for everyone. Firecracker shrimp always a favorite to share and the profiterole is a must.

No one was waiting for a table, so there really was no explanation. Unfortunately, it's really hard to feel like you get value for your money dining out in the Hamptons, and Cove Hollow was no exception.

A good variety of menu choices. My vegetarian dish was very good and so was my husband's chicken dish. The dressing on the house salad wasn't to my taste but all in all, a solid choice- I plan on going back.

Not such an enjoyable evening. Sat outside, which was a mistake because there is non-stop road noise. Menu is small and not particularly interesting. Beet salad was drowned in dressing. Main course took forever to come. Had to ask for break twice when other tables all had bread. Rocket flavored wings were missing flavor. All in all, disappointing even for EH. Unlikely to return. Manager tried to improve on an unpleasant experience, which was appreciated, but there was too much not to like.
Our server Lucy was an absolute delight. The tofu bowl was delicious and Erik at the bar makes some killer mocktails if you're not in the mood to drink. Always an amazing dining experience at Cove Hollow Tavern.
I loved this place: just what I've been looking for in the overwrought world of Hamptons dining...nice outdoor dining (and indoor if you prefer) that's not overcrowded, great food on an imaginative menu, not crazy pricing, nice crowd of normal people and lovely service in a space where you could have a good conversation and hear everything. This is not a place glitzy people go to impress their friends. It was full of low-key friends enjoying each other's company and a good meal. I didn't know such a place still existed in East Hampton. Loved it.
The new bread is fantastic, they changed it to be just like Vine Street's. Tavern Daiquiri is incredible. Elijah, Anna, & Lucas were very kind and took very good care of us
