We stayed nearby and went to 1770 for dinner. It was a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in until we left. We were greeted warmly and decided to sit in the living room for a cocktail. Food was excellent and surprising. I was interested in quite a few items but tried to stick to the healthier options even though I really wanted the duck confit risotto! Both my selections, roasted beets with greens and spiced yogurt and monkfish with lobster sauce were delicious and hearty! I was super satisfied and didn't feel like I had missed out by not getting the other choices that were undoubtedly amazing but richer!

Ate there only...priced as expected.Food & drinks: My partner found that a good fish wasn't well served w/a sauce of lobster.. (sometimes simple rings the bell!) Sadly nothing vegetarian or gluten-free offered - (mashed potatoes a bit watery?) Creme brule cinnamon-y?? We ate in the downstairs bar - described by true friends as 'cosy'... the service was perfect! It's always full it seems so res a good idea.
