I'd rather you charge me $20 and use actual real and good tasting ingredients.

The food is a mixed bag, the chicken burger is very good, the lobster roll claims to be the best in the Hamptons but is anything but. The bread roll was dry and over toasted and the lobster totally lacking in flavor. The drinks are not too bad but as you woukd expect from a beach cafe everything is on the expensive side. Nevertheless a good spot for a bite to eat whilst at the beach.

This place has really upped its game since being taken over by the new owner a few years ago. I used to bring food to the beach, but now it’s not necessary since the hut is there. The bagels and hot pastries are a must for the morning. Friendly place with happy people.

When they say they offer the “best lobster roll in the Hamptons,” don’t believe it! For $39.50 we received about 3 tablespoons of lobster salad on a small hot dog roll with a small container of cole slaw. Even factoring in “Hamptons prices,” this is a poor deal. There are many better priced, more generous lobster rolls to be found in the area. Recommendation is to stick to the basics here.

Awful and unprofessional service . From the moment we arrived at the restaurant for breakfast, the host's (girl at the register) demeanor was unwelcoming. Every time I asked a question the cashier girl simply responded with "What?" in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. This lack of courtesy and attentiveness made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. Despite my efforts to engage in polite conversation and clarify my inquiries, the host continued to exhibit a dismissive attitude, which greatly affected my overall dining experience. The repeated use of "What?" as a response to my questions was not only rude but also created a sense of frustration and discomfort during our visit.

My partner and I drove over an hour looking forward to have a nice beachfront breakfast. After seeing on the website that this place is dog friendly, our dog came along with us. To our surprise, dogs are only allowed at specific times of the day, therefore we had to leave. Not to mention the mean attitude from the person who communicated this to us. It is not nice to promote yourself as “dog friendly” and not be specific about the policy.
Wow this place is way better than it has any business being. Each thing I tried was better than the next. My wife had the fish tacos and I can’t wait to come back and order for myself.

We had a marvelous event at The Beach Hut on Main. Atmosphere was great, food was perfect for our event, Amanda and Susan and staff provided us with enthusiastic and efficient service. I would highly recommend holding your next dinner event there if you want a fun, casual (or semi formal) place with great food, service and atmosphere!

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner & welcome drinks at Main Beach Hut in September 2023 and it was absolutely spectacular. Amanda & Susan were so helpful with planning the event the months leading up and were amazing to work with. The event itself was seamless - the food was incredible, the venue and vibe was just so unique and our guests were so impressed with every component of it. The space is so different from many other options and has a true, East Hampton beachy feel. It's an amazing venue with a great team that made our weekend so special!

We held a private, sit-down dinner at the Beach Hut, and it was wonderful. The ocean was a beautiful backdrop for the night. Amanda and Susan who run the Beach Hut were fantastic to work with as we planned the evening. The menu choices were great (and our guests were happy and full).We also go to the Beach Hut most mornings in summer when it is open for coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and Susan's amazing pastries. They have great lunch options, too (highly recommend the tacos and chicken sandwich).
