Then she put two dips in the bag, and then shoved the bag towards me. I told her I needed 4 more and she started laughing saying they were coming. Bill should have been $20 it's $30. Live with your wn failure. Don't put it on the customers. Pretty bartenders won't cover incompetence.“

This is a goldmine my son has found. Haven't found a place like this since the 90,'s. He surprised me with Tilapia combo platter, with chicken fried rice. It was a lunch made in heaven. I was so overcome with happiness, joy and fulfillment after that meal. There was still leftover for dinner. It's the gift that keeps giving. I didnt have to cook I was able to reheat and eat. Uptown Wingz you've become my favorite restaurant. It doesn't matter that you are 100 blocks away from me, I will be your loyal customer. My youngest who is picky loves your hush puppies. Even my husband enjoyed your combo. The tilapia was extremely good. You give large portions. What more can I ask for? Oh yeah, the fried catfish is my next order with my chicken fried rice. “A really great BBQ experience. We've been driving past this place for years, never had the opportunity to stop in. Today we made a special trip just to check it out. Well worth it! Had the ribs, chicken, and shrimp combo with q side of beans and potato salad. Oh, and cornbread. Chicken and ribs falling off the bone, no need to use the knife. Shrimp are nicely sized, and coated in an excellent cornmeal batter. Sauce on the ribs and chicken is sweet and smoky, exactly what my ideal barbecue sauce would be. The wife had the pulled pork sandwich platter with a side of mac-n-cheese, all of which were excellent. The platter came with a tremendous amount of fries! This is a counter service establishment, and the girl behind the counter was upbeat and very friendly. The atmosphere is like of one of those Memphis homes that was converted into a restaurant; small amount of seating, and comfortable and friendly. Ok, one thing, no sweet tea available, but some Snapple tea with lemon is an acceptable substitute. Definitely coming back“

“Just happened to find this place while walking through the Bronx. What an amazing gem! We had the seafood boil - which came with loads of giant crab legs, shrimp, and lobster tail swimming in butter and garlic. It was sooo yummy and decadent. We had to use like 50 napkins because the butter was dripping everywhere. It seemed a bit pricey, but it was such a great experience and we had enough leftovers for dinner the next day.“

After visiting this location for a few more times, I can give a more accurate review. Initial review was during the first week this place opened up.

The burger is not bad, has all the classics ingredients for a regular burger but for me too little meat. For a better meaty burger I recommend getting two patties. The single patty burgers leaves me feeling unsatisfied.

The fries from the last few times I orders has been bad. They are shoestring cut fries and it seems like they fry a bunch ahead of time and keep them to the side until needed. Some of them are hard as a pretzel and others limp.

Unfortunately the wings seem like they suffer the same fate, but with less flavor. It’s not common to get un-breaded halal wings in the Bronx (most of them are the tiny breaded ones from your local halal deli), but they are missing some marinade or something to bring it alive, besides drenching it with sauce.

The crispy chicken sandwich was very oily, and definitely double fried. Which means it was half fried before and left to the side until a customer orders one and they re-fry them. This makes the chicken rubbery and the breading dark brown and oily. I rather wait a few more minutes for a made to order chicken sandwich.

Being raised in the neighborhood, I was excited to have this place open up and wanted to make it regular place I go, to get my fix, but they have to work on some quality control before they have me be a regular. I really hope they listen to the customers concerns and revamp their process in the kitchen. I really want to see local halal businesses like this one succeed but the food has to be up to par.

“Went for Halal and Those small wings. Food was good. Wings we received were not what we wanted. Ordered 21 wings but they weren't the spicy ones we drove 30 minutes to get. The Halal was good as well. Only thing was we couldn't get a combo of meats (chicken and lamb). Also we didnt get white sauce as expected. Next time we know to request hot sauce and white sauce. As for the inside very small space. Probably 8 to 10 people at time in there. Surely couldn't dine in if you wanted to.“

We each got the 10 piece boneless wings and made them curly fry combos. I got the honey bbq and my bf got the oriental sesame. Both flavors were really good and portions were pretty large! We called ahead and the order was ready in about 10 mins. The inside isn’t necessarily not nice, but it’s not really a place I’d want to hang out for a while.
