“I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after meeting James, the new owner of this Korean fried chicken spot. James is a sweet older gentleman who genuinely asked me for feedback. You can tell he truly cares about the food and his customers who order from the store.

The crispy boneless chicken is my go-to with the sweet and spicy and soy chili garlic sauces, which are both full of flavor and go really well with the pickled radish.

It’s also super convenient.. place your order, do your grocery shopping, and by the time you’re done, your chicken is hot and ready to go. It’s become an easy and reliable part of my routine.

I’ve also ordered for Super Bowl Sunday and casual takeout nights and it never misses.

One quick note about the person taking your order at the counter.. they aren’t an employee of the business. They work for the supermarket and take orders for other food vendors inside. So if the service at the counter ever feels rushed or off, don’t let it reflect on this business. The owner and the food absolutely speak for themselves.

The owner also was really nice with us. I always being curious to try their food because I always do my shopping at Lidl and seemed to my a clean restaurant from the outside , but I had never have the chance since tonight! “I ordered from this Pizza Hut recently and honestly, the pizza didn’t look exactly like the photo — but it was good enough and still looked amazing when it arrived. The taste was great and it came out hot and fresh. The employees weren’t mean or rude at all, they were actually polite and helpful. The store itself is pretty clean, especially considering it only opened not too long ago. Overall, a good experience and I’ll definitely order again.

“This small spot would be bustling with street traffic from the local Mount Vernon government staff at lunch to the barrage of kids getting out of school needing a snack if it were not for COVID. According to local long timers, this place has been around for a while. On recommendation I tried the grilled chicken and rice platter. The chicken was fresh, hot, juicy and tender with fluffy seasoned rice underneath and a cool basic lettuce and tomato salad off to the side. All packed neatly in a styrofoam carry out box. The cucumber sauce is worth requesting extra on the side. You'll thank me later. The owner seems to always be there and is quite personable. There's also a little Jamaican booth right inside the store. They seem to stay having business. I hope both spots can withstand the effects of the city shutdown and lack of customers. I'd hate to see them close like many of their neighbors.“
