I DO NOT recommend using the app to order from this location. Eat in or order your take out when you get there. This is the second time I've used the app. It again, gave me a pickup time of approximately 1&1/2 hour from the time I placed it. The food was sitting on the counter when I arrived, 15 minutes before the designated pickup time. It had obviously been sitting there awhile because it was cold, soggy, and inedible. On top of that one item was not packed, but it was on the receipt, and I was charged for it. Again, I've never had a bad experience eating in this location. But I'm never using the app again. It's not worth the disappointment. Also, calling the number for the store is worthless. I used my landline and cell, both of which would not connect with a human, just an answering machine.

Skip this restaurant. When I came up to the drive through window, the attendant tried to give me the wrong order even though she had the right receipt. This was a portent of things to come.
After I thought we had clarified what my order was, the attendant gave me a third separate order that wasn't mine. I pulled around to the front to give them back the wrong order and ask for my order. The workers did not understand that there was no payment or receipt issue, it was just a wrong order. Turns out they had either given my order to the wrong customer or they just hadn't made it. So I waited while they remade the order and when I got back to my vehicle I checked it over and there were still multiple things missing.
Don't eat here, go across the street to Wendy's if you want fast food and ice-cream. Or theyres a perfectly serviceable taco bell right next to it. Hell, I would suggest the McDonald's a quarter mile away over this place and their hash browns are 5 bucks. Any restaurant in big flats is better than the ridiculousness here.
Also if dairy queen management reads this, no I dont want a refund or a coupon or whatever. I am telling everyone I know that the current state of this store is unacceptable.

Ordered a cake from there. Cake was ok except it had this dark green almost black food coloring on it that stained EVERYTHING and was so so gross. Like it would stain your fingers and teeth eating it and it was all over the cake. Very gross plus I don't think this place has a SINGLE VEGETARIAN OPTION. No impossible burer? You should all be ashamed of yourselves

I always wait a long time whenever I go here. I gave them 3 tries and the 3rd I waited almost 45 minutes to get my order. staff always seems a little unenthusiastic.
Parking: It's a hot mess, be real careful backing out
There was quite a line when we walked in and the manager, Amanda, always had a smile on her face the entire time. She greeted each customer with a cheerful welcome and treated each person with kindness and respect. She also walked around and asked everyone if everything was good. Amanda is a fantastic manager at the Horseheads, NY Dairy Queen!
Kid-friendliness: They have their kids menu at eye level with pictures for the kids so they can easily see what choices they have.
Always love going here. The food is good and the employees are always friendly.

Went through the drive through just to get two blizzards. Had to wait at the second window for 10 mins to where they handed me the blizzards from a nearby table where they had apparently been sitting the whole time. They had melted everywhere and when I asked about it they just slammed the window in my face. This DQ has been here for over a year now and it still can’t get it together. Avoid at all cost.
