Shorts Bar & Grill Reviews
This used to be a wonderful establishment. They do offer fantastic karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays. The guy that hosts karaoke is a genuine dude and knows how to have a good time. Unfortunately the bar has gone a bit downhill in recent years and in fact the last time I stopped in (which had been the first time in months) I got very sick very quickly. Two of my other friends had also become very sick later that night. We suspected it was probably food poisoning. To get a drink,...read full review
I have been to this bar many times visiting friends while in Fairport and always liked it. But, we went on New Years Eve and could tell something was off when we tried to order food. Shorts Bar & Grill is a welcoming and fun watering hole with whimsical decor. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, offering tastings before orders and allowing customers to charge their phones and use the wifi. Complimentary popcorn is available, and the bar has a variety of drinks, including Tullamore Dew. The atmosphere is lively, featuring great music, a jukebox, karaoke, and a stage area for potential dancing. There are darts and two pool tables for convenience, and the staff and locals are tolerant and friendly.
The bar can get crowded during karaoke nights on Friday and Saturday, but it remains a great place to socialize and have a good time. The bathrooms are clean, and there is a designated smoking area attached to the bar, which many customers enjoy. The staff keeps an eye on customers' drinks, making it a safe place for women.
Parking may appear messy, but it is commendable, especially after busy events like St. Patrick's Day. With excellent food served until 1am, quick friendly bartenders, and a fun vibe, Shorts Bar & Grill is a great spot for both longtime locals and newcomers.
