“I am telling you if you haven’t eaten here, you need to!! This place is absolutely &$&$ing awesome! I love the stuffed meatballs, the red sauce is the best. I would put this food up against any other Italian food. Yes this place gets busy, but that’s because it’s a hot spot because of the awesome food. The restaurant is so nice inside, perfect for the atmosphere on the river. Come by vehicle or boat we done both. Hang at the bar or having dinner, it’s an awesome place to bring your friends and family! Stuffed peppers ❤️❤️❤️”

“While visiting beautiful Alexandria Bay, we stumbled upon Dark Island Spirits. Let me tell you, we were so glad that we did. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by friendly faces and knowledgeable staff who guided us on our tasting journey. We tried a few flights, and to be honest, we enjoyed every single tasting sample. We ended up leaving with a few bottles of the Eleanor Glen 1000 Islays - Peated American Single Malt Whiskey as well as a few bottles of the Mountain Strong - Corn whiskey aged in one of our used bourbon barrels. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping by and trying some amazing and unique spirits. UPDATE: 8/28/24 Stopped back in and got to meet Kelly and William. Both had an infectious energy and made our visit totally amazing. Can not recommend Dark Island enough. Try a flight or grab a drink and chill on the patio. Can't wait for our next visit.”

“We’re visiting in the offseason and after striking out at some of the restaurants in town, we came here more by default than anything, as we’re staying at the hotel. So I went in with pretty low expectations, which thankfully were well surpassed. Angie was the only server working the whole restaurant and she did so without breaking a sweat - a true pro. And our food was very good - my blackened mahi mahi was cooked perfectly. The prices were reasonable and the location couldn’t be beat as we were staying two floors above. A solid 5 star experience.”

While pricey, they were quite the jumbo sized and cooked very well. A friendly & knowledgeable staff round out what is a must stop for anyone exploring the 1000 Islands region.”

They changed the inside a lot since I had last been and it looks great. The restaurant itself is very clean too. Our server was very nice and the food was amazing. “A local recommended this place to us last night and said they were headed there . My friend and I walked down and went in and sat at the bar . Bartender never acknowledged us just stayed looking at her phone and talking to another women at the end of the bar . A gentleman came up to the bar and she came right over to serve him and then walked back to her phone . We got up and left”
