Both my husband and I don’t get out much these days with two small children so when we finally had a date night we wanted to try il traverna. It was absolutely beautiful inside the food was wonderful the drinks were okay. I only say that because i definitely ordered the wrong drink. Next date night we would 100% go back and recommend it for anyone to try.

My wife and I have gone to Il Figlio quite a few times now for dinner and really liked the place. We would recommend the restaurant to others. However, after tonight’s experience we will not be returning nor will we be recommending. We had a friend visiting and decided to bring them to Il Figlio. We ordered a bottle of wine, main courses, coffee and desserts - in other words a pretty full bill. When they brought the bottle of wine out to the table the waitress accidentally dropped the bottle at the table and it shattered two plates on the table. Luckily the bottle didn’t break, but the shards of plate went everywhere and it was obviously loud and everyone looked - not only was it slightly embarrassing but the waters needed to be replaced because of the ceramic everywhere as well as the bread, ricotta spread, napkins - the pieces of plate were all over my wife and I and under the table. It was a mess, again luckily, no one was cut or hurt. Ok, whatever - they cleaned it up and mistakes happen. We didn’t make a big deal about it. We went on with our dinner. Then the check came out at the end. The manager never came over by the way to apologize for the ruckus or ask if my wife was ok. Maybe they would cover the dessert we ordered or the espresso I got, just out of courtesy for the inconvenience? Nope, we were charged full price for everything. Ok, I see how you do business and treat your customers… I paid the check and tipped 20% because that is always the right thing to do but I was disappointed they never checked on my wife or offered to comp something small as an apology for the mistake. I don’t expect perfection, and if I had made a big deal about it and complained loudly I probably would have been placated and something would have been comped - I was just hoping a ‘nice’ place like Il Figlio would have just done the right thing without being asked. They didn’t, and I don’t have faith they would in the future either. They lost two (formerly) loyal customers tonight.

We have been here numerous times (6-7) either solo with my wife, or with parties up to 10 people. Without a doubt, this place never fails to impress. The food is fantastic, the drinks are exquisite, and the service (especially Lauren, who we have had a few times as our server) is to die for. You do need a reservation to come during normal dining times, but it is well worth the forward planning. I hope this place sticks around forever, as I will most definitely be coming back again and again. This is one of the best restaurant in the Hudson Valley, and is worth a trip to Fishkill every time.

After some recommendations We made a reservation.The atmosphere is very warm And put together nicely. They even pronounced my last name correctly..The service was great our waitress was on top for a busy night. Food and drinks came out quick. The drinks were made very professional. They definitely pay attention to presentation on the cocktails. They give you fresh italian bread with Ricotta Spread. Our main dishes Where Italian Inspired. With a twist of New age cooking. They let you change your sides with no upcharge.Dessert we got bread pudding. And Expresso. We will be going back again. Definitely another great restaurant to try...

WOW! What a lovely evening we had at Il Figlio! I have celiac, which often means I get a less yummy version of a "normal dish." Not here - the salmon was spectacular, and beautifully adapted to my dietary needs. The space is elegant and comfortable, and Lauren - our server - was a delight. We'll absolutely be back!

Loved everything about this place! We started off with some amazing cocktails. Definitely recommend the Autumn Bliss! We had the mussels for appetizers and the sauce was super yummy! For entrees, we got the Lamb and NY Strip, and both were cooked perfectly. Service was fast and friendly. Emma was probably one of the most efficient servers I have ever met in a long time! Super sweet! Need an idea for a date night? Birthday? Promotion celebration? This place is perfect for any occasion. Coming back super soon!!!

Absolutely love this place , always amazing , we were there again last night 1-5-24 ! . Oh my goodness , is all I can say ! We started with the mussels & beet salad . So so delicious. Then we ordered our meals . Everyone of them were over the top . Especially the rainbow trout . Wonderful drinks , they make a mean dirty martini ( my favorite) thank you so much for another amazing dinner . All my best to you & your staff
