We got our wedding cake from The Cakery and Ashley couldn't have captured our vision more perfectly! So many people are still saying that this was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding, and I must agree. We got a vanilla chocolate chip cake with ganache filling and cream cheese frosting. Ashley at The Cakery was amazing to work with. We opted for a dessert table and a small sweetheart cake for our wedding and it was all beyond delicious! We had the marble cake with raspberry & chocolate ganache filling. People couldn't stop talking about it. As well as the lemon bars, coconut macaroons, brownies, apple pie bites, mini cheesecakes, & the chocolate covered strawberries. Our whole dessert table was absolutely perfect.

My now husband and I have loved all the treats at The Cakery for years. We started with coming across the cake balls, then the cupcakes - and we aren't big cake people but we were obsessed. Fast forward to our wedding we knew we wanted Ashley and her team at The Cakery to make our desserts. I emailed them way too far in advance but Ashley and her team reached back out to me in a timeframe that worked so well. We went in, ordered our sweets and left happy. Then the days leading up to our wedding, while I was so stressed Ashley (I think sensing that) reached out to my venue to coordinate drop offs and I was so impressed, one less thing for me to panic over. The day of our wedding (August 2nd 2025) our desserts (assorted mini cupcakes, brownies, cake balls and a cheesecake for us to cut ) were beautifully displayed and DELICIOUS. Our guests were obsessed with the dessert bar and assortment - there were more than enough we even had left overs (120 person wedding) and I'm still thinking about the brownies and cheesecake. The Cakery is truly one of the best, if you like desserts that have flavor, mixed with the right amount of sweetness, easy to work with people and a wonderful experience this is the bakery for you!

Wanted to give this place a try for my baby shower and ordered a custom ‘It’s a Boy’ cake and two dozen cake pops as party favors. I visited them about 2-3 weeks prior to my event to explain what I was looking for along with photos of my ideas. The morning of my baby shower I went as soon as they opened to pickup my order and the custom cake came out amazing but the cake pops were horrible and not what I ordered. To my knowledge and in their display case, a cake pop comes on a stick and is individually wrapped (which I asked when placing my order) what I received was just cake balls in a cupcake paper. I asked them did I place the order wrong and why they weren’t “pops” and they told me “No, we must’ve missed what was written on the order paper”. I told them I couldn’t accept the cake balls on the paper because I needed the pops as gifts to give out and was extremely disappointed. A manager from the back came out and explained they somehow missed the fact that they were supposed to be pops?? She offered a discount and I said no because I needed what I originally ordered and I didn’t have enough time before my shower to figure another option. She then said if I could come back in an hour they could remake the pops but didn’t have the flavors I ordered to begin with. What I don’t understand is how this can happen when it was placed in advance as a CAKE POP. I also wasn’t happy with how she spoke to me and approached the situation. My shower was at 12:00 and had to make two trips to the bakery because of their mistake and ended up being late to my own event which was very upsetting. On the second trip back to pickup my order I asked if they would be willing to give a discount for the inconvenience and my order not being how I placed it and was told there was nothing else they could do. Very unfortunate and bad experience from here because the place seemed great online and they unexpectedly ruined my day.

Visiting friends later in the day, I stopped by and ordered an array of cupcake based items. Several cake balls, cake on a stick, cupcakes and the like. Against what I was told, the carrot cake is not the best. Enjoyable, but not the best. Everything else was very nice, fresh and enjoyable. Be prepared to spend! A dozen cupcakes does not cost what they asking, but enjoyable quality is there

The photo to the right was my inspiration and was told she would do her best to recreate although I would have to supply the candy which I did. My party was on Sunday so I had to pick up on Saturday. I never spoke to the owner in person just the counter help. I assumed the owner or manager was on location during my two visits as the counter help had to keep walking in the back to get the answer to my questions. I emailed my dissatisfaction with the entire transaction and never heard back. My daughter was very upset that she did not get even close to what she was looking for. At no point did we order chocolate icing. The cupcakes were arranged in an ‘A’ on the board and did not know they were not secure in anyway, as the board was much larger than the amount of cupcakes that we had. By the time we left the parking lot, the cupcakes were on top of each other in the corner of the box. I would say if the cupcakes were delicious I would have swallowed this whole debacle and moved on. However, the cupcakes were mediocre at best. Needless to say, this Is the First and last time Giving business to the Cakery. I try to think local first, but in this case I would have been way better off ordering from the local supermarket as they never disappoint in price, flavor or accuracy.

I was only upset that when confirming compote filling they didn’t read in full my order confirming email and gave me original flavor we discussed versus the filling I asked untimely asked for, I’ll take ownership for not ready end receipt but this was very specifically stated in my confirmation email, they got all my other info in email correct. Regardless the cake was a show stopper and also tasted great! Would recommend just triple check your confirmation to ensure they got your order correct.

I want this place to be so good. Everything is so beautiful and displayed nicely but the execution is just not right on some of their items. We tried a variety of cake balls. The flavors taste like flavor extracts which is not pleasant. The outside is soft rather than like a shell coating. We also tried a lemon bar which tasted nice but the texture was gelatin. Everyone is super nice there and the cakes look gorgeous. Prices for the items were great. I am definitely going to go back a try some other things...I am hopeful!!
Love stopping here for a sweet treat! The cake balls are so good and beautifully decorated. I’ve never tried an actual cake, but I can bet they taste just as good as they look.

I cannot recommend this cakery enough! Their customer service is absolutely top-notch. While they typically require a two-week notice for custom cakes, I was in a pinch and called just four days before I needed one. To my surprise, they went above and beyond to accommodate my request.
The cake itself was a masterpiece—not only was it beautifully designed, but it tasted amazing, too! You can tell they put so much care and effort into their work. I’m so grateful for their incredible service and skill. If you’re in Fishkill and need a cake for any occasion, this is the place to go!
