Where to begin? This spot blew my expectations out of the water. My boyfriend and I shared their broccoli and potato soup, with their house made bread.We also had the infamous roasted eggplants sandwich which melted in your mouth, with the crunch of the bread and the gorgeous San Marzano tomato sauce. Even the salad was perfectly dressed and so fresh.I had their peach fizz mocktail, fresh peach nectar, raspberry juice, so delicious.We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!

I would ignore the Chill Dude review. I personally know who this is. Just a mean spirited miserable unhappy person .This cafe is really great. It is popular with both locals and visitors. There are both vegetarian options (I have had the delicious chickpea sandwich( as well as non vegetarian options. There is a wide selection. of teas, spices and pastries. Prices are very reasonable and you will get good value. The environment is warm abd friendly.The hosts Christine and Mario are very committed to this cafe and want to ensure that their customers enjoy their food,drinks and experience. Come and check out The Village East for a relaxing and delicious experience-you will not be disappointed .5 BIG Stars! Plus they have a nice assortment of teas, coffees. spices and other interesting products. This place is wonderful you will cone back over and over!

Exactly what we needed before a hike. Good fresh amazing food. Focaccia… amazing. Focaccia with chicken or eggplant… spectacular. Throw in the moz and ?. We were skeptical of their coffee, but wow was it good. Usually don’t like flavored coffee drinks but their raspberry oat latte tasted like a dark chocolate raspberry bar. Delicious!Would also like to thank the store owner (who’s name we forgot to ask and who I think was the store owner) for being so friendly and welcoming. Such a sweet lady who recommended us some beautiful hikes.It’s often hard to find a good place to eat since there’s only a handful of spots to visit in the area, so if I’m ever around again I’m making a beeline to this cafe.

First to eat here a few years ago and miss them dearly. The sfogliatelle and coffee for breakfast. The caprese for lunch. Best of fleishmanns & best of the Catskills. Mario is a master bread maker. Chefs kiss

What a tiny gem this place is! The sandwiched are excellent and the coffee drinks will knock your socks off. Def off the beaten path which is part of the charm. I had roasted chicken and my hubby the roasted eggplant. Absolutely delicious. We were passing through but if we are ever back again, will def stop in!
