Not worth it at all. Outrageously overpriced. $15 for two little souffles. Took over twenty minutes even when it didn't seem busy. Came out half cold. Taste was good though.

The viral pastry is one of the worst pastries I've ever had. The corn is ok, but the pudding under it is basically tasteless, and the croissant itself was cold and tough. Really disgusting. I know better than to go to viral places now.

Don’t waste your time or your steps coming here — your taste buds deserve better! The corn egg tart had zero flavor and was cold, and the strawberry puff? Stale like it had been sitting out all week. Overall rating: a generous 0/10.

I take egg tarts very seriously AND I am Mexican so I love corn. You can imagine that as soon as I knew about this creation I needed to try it and I didn’t disappoint.

Don’t believe the hype. Don’t go and waste your money. Food is way overpriced and mid at best. The famous corn egg tart is cold, including the charred corn which is not caramelized and has nothing to make it fit. The pastry was not flaky. Pancakes were lame and only tolerable because of the cream on top. There are so many other options and you should try any one besides this. There’s baby turtles at the register which is sad and unsanitary. I never leave bad reviews but this place inspired me. Don’t listen to the influencers!!

I’ve been coming here since they were called Eggcellent Pancakes, and lemme tell you…..they’re the closest you’ll get to the authentic ones from Hong Kong!
One bite and I’m instantly transported back to my childhood, eating these right off the street in Mong Kok. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. No other place does it quite like this. ✨ Love love love!

Tried 1 Golden Pancake after hearing it’s a must. We had the corn egg tart and another item. Ordering took longer than expected - you might need those new iPhone translation headphones. The food would be better hot, but it’s worth a try at least once to see for yourself.

Not worth the hype and I would not recommend this to anyone at all. After seeing it on Tiktok and having a CRAVING for egg tarts, I decided to check out this spot on my to-go list. 1 Golden Pancake is located in a tight food alley in Flushing, alongside a number of other food stalls. They have some seating but it's primarily meant for grab-and-go.
I got their corn croissant egg tart, but because they have a $10 minimum for credit cards, I also picked up their salad and pork floss egg pastry. I was honestly happier with their egg pastry as the egg crust was good. But, I did think it was a bit of a scam for $4 for a tiny pastry filled with the smallest amount of pork floss and lots of mayo. The corn croissant egg tart left me heavily disappointed. Although the corn was good, the egg tart didn't really have any eggy flavor and just tasted like cream. Moreover, the dessert was very cold when I ate it and not crispy at all. Would not recommend.

TIP: Golden Pancake is a little hidden gem—tucked inside 135-15, just walk down the hall and you’ll find it.
We came here to try their unique grilled corn cream pastry, and it was really tasty. The pastry itself was flaky and light, while the sweet corn cream filling added a fun, seasonal twist (perfect if you’re a corn fan, especially in the summer). They also offer a variety of other cream puffs and filled treats that looked worth coming back for. Seating is limited to just a couple of small tables in the stall, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. Definitely a fun stop if you’re exploring the area!

Food was very pretty but taste was very underwhelming. I wish the custard in the corn croissant tasted more like corn but the flavor wasn't quite there.

Came for the corn croissant pastry and it was ok. Definitely not worth $8. What is it in the ingredients that is making it nearly $8???!!!! The corn? It tasted canned. The pastry??? Definitely doesn't seem homemade. Really absurd what the high price is for. It's a rip off.

They took 35 minutes to make the most simple egg tart. And no one was even in line it was just me. On top of that they gave me a broken box and I had to ask for a new one and my tarts were all squishes. I can’t believe I waited so long to get something that looked like it took them 2 minutes to make. Horrible service and quality. Don’t waste your money.
