Okay so I had a bad experience here when my daughters were little. I have twin daughters can I order each girl a small and pretty cookie. The owner of the pastry shop gave me one cookie that was whole and one that was broken in half actually in several pieces. I mentioned to him can I please have a whole cookie for my other daughter because I can't give one daughter the nice cookie and the other one the cookie that was in pieces. By the way I had paid for both the cookies .So the owner as a result throw a fit and threw one of the cookies across the bakery and into a wall. I was shocked. Didn't ask for my money back and rushed out with my daughters. Well its been several years and I decided to give the place another shot. Same kind of terrible tension filled experience, this time I had a rude lady. I ordered some bread, she was stone faced and abrupt. I asked for some water because I felt a little light headed and she refused to give it to me. When I got home I noticed the bread was not the bread I ordered but a different bread and was green with mold on the bottom. I'm not going to return it, too much tension, this women is not human. I can't deal with this lady. How can people treat their customers that way and stay in business Never again!

I have had tiramisu dozens of times and this was one of the best - old school and authentic - and half the price of neighborhood competitors. Absolutely perfect and paired well with Prosecco on New Year’s Eve.

Perfect tiramisu! Pairs well with Prosecco on New Years Eve! old school authentic taste and half the price of a well know local competitor.

I can’t describe how horrible the cookies that were delivered. No arms on the gingerbread boys, no star shapes piled in a plastic salad box all crumbs. Can’t give them to a street person. God knows who made them and what they put in the mixing bowl , just globs. !

I was scoffed at and ridiculed for simply asking if the pastries were fresh. I was the first customer and the pasties were for a work function. I ended up leaving and would never return. I believe the owner feels entitled as they have been at this location many years. They have forgotten “the customer is always right”.

Amazing shortbread cookies! I love their carrot cake slice with thick cream cheese frosting and nuts and raisins in the cake too. Come visit this bakery instead of Martha's next time! Cash only! Going to have to try the key lime pie next time seeing all these reviews now.

Everything is super fresh and tasty here. I don't get why the lines are out the door at that other Austin St bakery when this gem is just down the street serving up absolutely superior baked goods. Great rainbow cookies that taste like they use quality almond flour not just almond flavoring. Delicious rugelach too! My family and I did a side by side taste test and the better ingredients and care in baking are reflected in these baked goods. Also really friendly service.

Their almond croissants, cheese danish and carrot cake are delish! Small store so only pickup. One of the sisters is super friendly the other pretty helpful just more stoic.

Ordered a cake for my sons baptism. When I ordered the woman was very pleasant. Price was good. I was happy. The day I picked it up, the writing and decor on the cake was horrible. I asked for the lettering to be corrected and evened out (because it was lopsided) and proceeded to get scoffed at and ridiculed for daring to ask that the cake look pretty, that they are the best pastry shop around and it’s about the flavor not the look. And then one of the ladies said, “ you know he could drop the cake going back down the stairs and then you’ll have no cake.” I hadn’t paid yet and I reminded her that I could also walk out without the cake and spend my money somewhere else. The man who made the cake fixed the lettering with a tiny bit more care, but it was still a lack luster for a cake that just said God Bless and my sons name. The cross…literally just two lines. My family did enjoy the flavor, but I would never return to to experience such rude customer service. Never had a worse experience ordering a cake in my life.

Excellent bake goods at a fair price. Very accommodating, I have had them hold slices of Pies for me until I arrive at the bakery from Elmont.

My Grandma Dorothy always said, "A house guest should never show up empty handed." My go to item for making sure I have something delicious to bring is Bonelle's Rugulach , usually a mix of chocolate and raspberry. At $20 for a pound the cookies are not cheap, but they always are well appreciated. The owner is a hoot, a very nice woman who apparently is a neighborhood fixture.

Great food and great service. Everyone was so friendly and happy to recommend their favorite dishes based on our preferences. Highly recommend them fried rice and the pink noodles (sorry I can't remember what they were called).

Wow! The pastries here are devine! Super unassuming but super fresh and tasty. Tried the key lime pie which was amazing. Nice and light perfect taste. The almond tart was delicious nice and nutty. The cinnamon roll coffee cake danish was delightful. I can't wait to try carrot cake and cheesecake and more! $15 for those 3 pastries. Cash only!
