White Radish in Forest Hills is a go to local place with consistently excellent food, thoughtful and inventive, made with quality ingredients. The oxtail croquettes are unreal, the short rib ravioli is divine, and the Duck Two Ways comes with a warm, fruity pan sauce. The seafood pasta is better than many Italian spots, and the signature burger is mind blowing. Brunch is also great, with a veggie omelette. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, perfect for a dinner with friends or as a couple. The ambiance has the comfortable, welcoming feel of what dining out used to be like. The staff is genuinely friendly with young children, and service is always friendly, though sometimes a bit slow. The restaurant is attached to the sushi bar next door, so guests can order from either menu. Reservations are needed on busy days like concerts and weekends. One rushed mistake does not outweigh years of great meals and experiences. Highly recommended.
