I came around 9 knowing they close at 11pm, they had a sign on the door saying they're closing at 10pm. Ordered and set down, not even 10 minutes later the staff came and very rudely asked to leave because they're closing, it was only 9:45. If you know you want to close and I'm ordering to stay you can tell me before I make the order and not 5 minutes after I take it. They came once more 2 minutes later with a broom in hand literally forcing me to leave. Never experienced such an aggressive and disrespectful service in a café before!

I loveeee their matcha shaved ice. I keep coming back 🤣 even though it's quite pricey for ice but ughhh 🤤 I tried their corn croffle and mehhh. it's not bad but I wouldn't order it again. id probably try the other flavors 🤭

The desserts at Café Auburndale never disappoint. The açaí dragonfruit bowl and the waffle with strawberry and banana are consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, there is something that’s been hard to ignore over several visits. As a Hispanic customer in a predominantly Asian neighborhood, I’ve noticed a pattern that’s both disheartening and hard to overlook. Time and time again, we’ve observed that parties arriving after us—often larger groups—are served or called ahead of us, despite us being a smaller party. Most recently, a group of four received their order before us, even though we had arrived and ordered earlier as a party of two.
While I can’t say for certain what the reason is, the pattern leaves us feeling like we’re not given the same level of priority or attentiveness as others—particularly compared to fellow Asian patrons. It’s not something that feels outright intentional, but it does feel consistently noticeable, and it affects the overall experience. It’s subtle, but it happens too often to ignore. We love the food, but this kind of unequal treatment really takes away from the experience. We just hope for a more inclusive and equally attentive service for all customers. Everyone deserves to feel like a valued customer.

This is a really cute cafe to grab a cup of coffee and sit with a book. I ordered the lotus latte, and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to work or just exist for a little while with a great cup of tea or coffee :)

The vibes and music of this cafe are great and calm! My friend had the Strawberry Matcha Latte and I had regular Matcha Latte and we were both very pleased with it. I’m eager to come back and have their shaved ice desserts and more they looked delicious in person. Pretty spacey and with outdoor sitting as well. This cafe hits the spot now in this hot Summer days.

One of the things I love the most is the Softserve Dalgona. I come here often because of it! The atmosphere is really nice with a backyard and street parking available.
Their vanilla soft serve is so good. Tastes real and not over processed like Mr. softee. The affogato was really good. They have a really nice outdoor seating area with shade too

Ordered large ice matcha latte with less sweet or sugar , order came and i found it too sweet then i came to the cashier asked . Did he type it less sugar for my order because so sweet . He said oh I thought u want less ice . He grab my drink n said i will give u more milk . This is ridiculous, saw him behind the counter , he throw my drink half and then add more milk into my cup drink . And served it to me . Left disappointed without my drink and , i told him when you added more milk into my drink than what you think the taste will be like ? Very unprofessional .
