I loved the Oaxacan style tamales, juicy , moist, with big chunks of pork (they have three styles of Oaxacan) I didn’t get to try the Birria tamales but would have. Best I’ve had in the city in a while, grest prices , kind staff! Very welcoming.

The tamales were okay, but nothing out of this world. I’ve definitely had better from street vendors. I got a oxacacenio with chicharon and it didn’t have a piece of chicharon in it. Very disappointed. Plus that one was very bland and soggy. The regular ones were better in consistency and flavor and actually had some meat in them.

Overall not a bad place to try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.

We love tamales!
we been costumer from Mrs evelias since she was on roosvelt av ,but to be honestly ,the services is not really good, when she is at the place Mrs evelias is very attentive with all her costumer but the waiter most of the time are rude and rush even if they are not busy. But we still going and order from Uber eats we love evelias tamales
