Older hotel . Built in 90s. Showing its age. Rooms are outdated. Worn. Exec lounge is small with Fairfield Inn type breakfast. Dark parking garage. Newly renovated lobby. In heart of Chinatown NYC. Only stay if you want to be in or near chinese restaurants or stores.
This hotel is recovering from major flood damage. We returned here after many years. We first stayed here right after it first opened. Everything was perfect then so when we planned this trip, we decided to stay with our "old friend," The hotel itself was fine, the service was limited but tolerable. Our problem was that the area had changed to something xenophobic. I am a New Yorker and this area was my home. I expected a more inclusive experience and I received that...
Professional, friendly staff (Matthew and Allen were extra helpful) and well appointed, well maintained rooms. Very convenient location off the 7. Lots of great food anywhere in the neighborhood. There is construction taking place right now and it was a little hard to find the hotel at night, but once complete, I'm sure it will be even more incredible inside!
