found by accident and its one of the best bakeries i’ve been too. the buns were delicious!! unsure why so many reviews are low. yes its busy but its a great fast bite to eat. the worker even helped us get a hot fresh bun because we unknowingly grabbed a frozen bun. 10/10 GO HERE

The Chinese egg tart is not as sweet as the Portuguese egg tart, which I liked a lot!

Cash only.
As others said - there is no system inside and relatively chaotic when it gets busy. The Pineapple bun was good but could be better (softer dough). Also the portuguese egg tart could be better (softer)

This is my most favorite Chinese bakery ever. I don't believe any other comes close to it. Huge parking lot, just a block away with a minimal fee. I highly recommend.

Best read bean pineapple bun I've had in a long time. They keep it warm and toasty too.

There’s a large variety of baked goods to choose from. Both the egg tart and pineapple bun were good.

CASH ONLY!!! Crowded and loud but this is the norm in a Chinese bakery especially smack dab in middle of Flushing.

Service is quick however overall not very hygienic when not a single person use the tongs provided to grab goods but use their hands, some I even see picking at the bread then putting them back. A lady right after me was basically rummaging through the bread selections both hands sorting out her desired ones.

Though the baked goods were fresh and warm, I find it hard to return. There are countless bakeries in the area that is of the same quality yet simply more hygienic conscious.

Shocking Experience at Taipan Bakery – Discrimination Shouldn’t Be Tolerated

I’m still in disbelief after what happened today at Taipan Bakery on Main Street in Flushing. It was my husband’s birthday, and we wanted to celebrate by picking up a cake from what used to be one of our favorite bakeries.

There was a line when we arrived, and I joined it at the end, patiently waiting my turn. However, I quickly noticed that customers who arrived after me were being called up and served by the cashiers. I stayed calm, thinking it must be an oversight, but then another person blatantly cut in front of me, and the cashier completely ignored me again.

At that point, I politely said, “Excuse me, but I was here before her.” Shockingly, the young female cashier snapped back and told me to go to the back of the line! I was stunned. I replied, “Didn’t you see me waiting here for the past 10 minutes?” Her response? She proceeded to serve someone else who had just arrived.

I was deeply hurt and furious. The whole experience felt humiliating and discriminatory. My husband and I decided to walk out and took our business to Paris Baguette instead, where we were treated with basic respect.

We will never return to Taipan Bakery again. No one deserves to be treated like that.

Has seats inside. Saw flies on top of bread and employee just swatted the fly away. And keep the bread there for sale. Would not recommend. Do Not Come Here

I found flies and a small cockroach in my food. Good thing I didn’t eat it or else I would’ve been sick.
