A must try hidden gem for the best braised meats I’ve had in the states. Food is delicious and price is great. Would highly recommend their braised beef shank, chicken liver, chicken gizzards, and pork tongue, they are must gets. The pork liver, stomach, and beef tripe are great as well! The meats are braised low and slow, so flavorful and tender. Just make sure to get there early or they will sell out quick. Owner is nice and kind as well. I always get this when in Flushing. That’s how good this place is.

Stop by here to get all kinds of marinated and spiced meats. Their smoked chicken goes fast, they make two batches a day and they're almost always sold out before 5:00. They are not open on Sundays.

3 stars for the food I tried, but bumping it up because I love these hole in the wall spots For some reason this spot was marked on Yelp in April, but it was alive and well when I came by. Plenty of older ladies and gentlemen waiting in line to get their order of marinated meats. I had always been curious about this shop as it's squeezed between two Flushing icons (White Bear and Fu Run before it closed), and yet I couldn't find really any writing about it. It's also been around for years so it's got to be doing something right. They sell different cuts of braised meat. I got the beef shank, which had great flavor but was on the drier side. Also got their smoked bean curd which was very smoky - a bit too much for my tastes - but there were others in line clamoring for it so really just a preference thing. They also sell less common cuts like that from the pig head (猪头肉), and prices are super reasonable (I was surprised how little my order came out to relative to other prepared food spots in Flushing) which might be part of the appeal.

This place sells Tianjin style smoked meats. A whole chicken is about $15 and they have rabbit, pigeon and other meats for the more adventurous. I've only had the chicken and it was pretty good. The meat is really soft and juicy and well flavored. The flavors however are very authentic and it may not be for you if you're used to western fried chicken. The whole chicken also comes with the head and feet as well if you're into that. At least you know they're not buying supermarket chicken. Personally the flavor are very difficult for my Korean palate but I still enjoyed the experience.

Authentic chinese food restaurant. I like most of their seafood dishes. Prices are fair. The area is hard to get parking. They do have meters out front that are 2 hour parking 730am to 10pm, except sundays. Clean restaurant. They have an A for the grade.

Small place (+/- 8 chairs), low options, but the wong tong is really good. Order to go is a good option in peak times. Although small, it is a worthy place to visit if you want to tour the neighborhood of Flushing.

This is an old store with a few very simple offerings. Everything tastes exactly the same: rabbit, chicken, beef, tofu. I do love the simplicity though, others may think it is boring, LOL.... The old man looked at me like I was an alien when I asked if I could just get half rabbit today. He picked up the tiniest rabbit and chopped into chunks and said: "You need to get fatter. Fat is good! " LOL! Chinese people like big n fat, they are two symbols of prosperity. Like the Buddha! LOL! Seriously they sell out everything they make every day! I like the old school cooking method: takes time and love into the meat, all sorts of animal feet:)))) too, though I do not eat it. It is a very small store but the name is fairly big among the locals. A group of old Chinese cooks who do have some what Monozukuri. Kind of....

We travelled 2 hrs by train and 38 min by subway to find this tiny little shop... it was worth it. Walked in at 1045 (to beat a rush and able to grab a seat) and looked at the menu. After maybe 15 seconds the woman says "you get number 6" not a question - but a statement... (that was actually why we came - for the famous #6). My wife also tried one of their soups... we asked for fried rice, and the man looked out and shook his head - "no, no" like he was saying not to ruin the meal. We also got spicy noodles - but the thing to get is #6 (and maybe get 2 of them).
