Came as a group of 10 for dinner on a Saturday night & the staff was very friendly & accommodating! The pitcher of mojitos (we got passion fruit) was flavorful & strong. The vaca frita & ropa vieja main dishes were delicious. The live music came on at 7:30pm & was entertaining. Seemed like everyone had a great time. Would definitely come back again!

We came on Father's Day and were immediately disappointed. There was no bartender, no one making pizza, and zero attention from the staff—no water, no refills, nothing. The music was blaring so loud it felt more like a club than a restaurant. To top it off, we waited over 45 minutes for food that wasn’t even half-decent.

I am a lover of Caribbean cuisine but highly disappointed in this establishment. I wasn’t very hungry but still wanted a taste of something as I was drinking. I ordered chicken soup. In a country where all spices are available to us, this was the blandest meal I ever had! Where’s the cilantro, culantro, onions or garlic?! I had a few bites and tossed it to the side.

This place was great, but they have slacked on cleanliness all of us got dirty glasses with mine having lipstick on it. As well as the food. I'm not going to lie there Cuban sandwich is delicious especially with the mojo sauce but I also ordered a Vaca frita and it was not fryed. It was more like a ropa vieja and the black beans were very bland. I'm not writing this review to shame them but just so they have a reference to improve. Because I really do like this place.

I had not been to Guatanamera in Forest Hills in about a year. Returned for Mother's day lunch with a party of 12. We were all highly disappointed. The food (lacked taste) and the restaurant (is very dated, bathrooms are falling apart) is not the same as it was before. Decided to go elsewhere for desert. With so many great options in the neighborhood will definitely will not be returning.
Food took forever to come. Would've understood if it was the paella...but the lemonade for 2 hours?! I would've understood if the food was good...but was really subpar. And no there wasn't a lot of people

Service was great . The server came by several times to fill our water and check up on us. The food was good too we had the lunch special that came with appetizer, meal and dessert. The coffee was great. I’d love to return when they have a band playing and try something else on their menu.

Food was decent, food cost too high, atmosphere meh! When I think of a Cuban restaurant, I think of some good music in the background. I went on a Sunday and my family and I were the only ones in the place. I could not stop staring at the outside windows that look dingy. Mirror when you go to the bathroom full of specs from them not cleaning it. It takes a second to clean a mirror, come on! Overall…Will not go again. Young lady taking care of us, very sweet!
