Matiz Latin Cuisine offers good Latin food in Forest Hills, with a fun atmosphere and great vibe. The food is good, fresh, and delicious, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Platanos Maduros are excellent, and the yuca balls and fish tacos are yummy. Empanadas are a must try, and the habanero salsa is fantabulous. Cocktails are great, and the desserts are amazing. The service is always amazing and attentive, with workers who go over expectations. However, the service can be slow, and a party of two may spend over two hours. The meat in the Churrasco wasn’t very tender, and the garlic spinach was a bit too salty. Overall, it is a nice experience.
