This is one of the worst rest stops you can come across during your travels. It's bad because the bathrooms are filthy and stinks. The center actually isn't that fresh either. There is a fast food restaurant inside (Mickie D's), as well as a convenience store.

Overall dirty and poorly kept. The ladies bathroom had about 5 toilet stalls marked “out of order” and covered with garbage bags. About 5 additional should have been out of service due to filth. There were actually bugs crawling on the floors/ walls/ toilets. No paper towels- just amazing that with all the tolls collected to use this Highway system this is the level of service provided. ?

I used to be the inspector for the New York State thruway at this restaurant. The owner of this restaurant is outrageous! I never met anyone who treated their employees so badly! His manager/girlfriend Rebecca treated people just as poorly as the owner. On top of that she smelled like a walking ash tray. This is one place I would NOT recommend. The restaurant I hear is now close and will be under new management which should be much better. His other store is in Little Falls I would stay away from that one also! Rich (the owner) you should be ashamed of yourself!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Copy pasting the email I sent to taste NY. This is easily the worst rest area between Cleveland and Boston. I am currently waiting in line for McDonalds. I have been here for 25 minutes and it's obvious there are several more minutes. Thanks for the curb so I can get out of line unless the rest of the cars behind me get just as fed up as me. We are on a cross country trip and expected a quick stop but holy s*** you guys f***** that up. From time of order 1:04pm, to the time I got my food, was TEN minutes. And that does not include the 20 I was in line before. Aside from the McDonald's being absolutely garbage, this mask mandate means nothing if the bathrooms haven't been cleaned since before the pandemic started. Get your priorities straight. This is unbelievable. Hard to believe these mask mandates mean anything when general cleanliness is clearly not a worry to the state when their only food and restroom option for the next 67 miles looks like that. I'm holding my tongue with how disgusting and aggravated this made me, and very clearly the rest of the people that were locked in the McDonald's line. Figure it out. Contact me if you need more details, I'd be glad to give you all you need. Unless it's a number from the receipt because the printer ran out of ink. Can't make this s*** up.
