Overall dirty and poorly kept. The ladies bathroom had about 5 toilet stalls marked “out of order” and covered with garbage bags. About 5 additional should have been out of service due to filth. There were actually bugs crawling on the floors/ walls/ toilets. No paper towels- just amazing that with all the tolls collected to use this Highway system this is the level of service provided. ?
I used to be the inspector for the New York State thruway at this restaurant. The owner of this restaurant is outrageous! I never met anyone who treated their employees so badly! His manager/girlfriend Rebecca treated people just as poorly as the owner. On top of that she smelled like a walking ash tray. This is one place I would NOT recommend. This is one of the worst rest stops you can come across during your travels. It's bad because the bathrooms are filthy and stinks. The center actually isn't that fresh either. There is a fast food restaurant inside (Mickie D's), as well as a convenience store.
