Backyard Barbeque Reviews
We've been coming here for the past three years. My favorite dish is the honey lemon pepper wings with the truffle fries. Oscar makes the best wings! Hot, crispy and well-seasoned. We've tried just about all of the menu items to include the mac and cheese, yams, collard greens, brisket, burgers, Sweet Tai chili wings, ribs and the chicken and shrimp combo. My favorite is the honey lemon pepper wings with a Blue Mai Tai. Their hours during the winter are iffy, but when they are there, it's always a good time. Music is great and the sound is crisp, never too loud. Staff is friendly and the owner always comes out to chat with us. Prices are on par with the rest of the restaurants on the Mile.

Backyard Barbeque, located at Nautical Mile, offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. The place might not be fancy, but the food and drinks are top-notch. The brisket is a must-try, incredibly soft and flavorful. The menu includes unique dishes like bacon and eggs empanadas and fish n grits. The cocktails, like the bikini bottom, are refreshing and delicious. Guests praise the great staff and the delicious food, such as fried chicken with French fries and the best baked beans they've ever had. Ribs with smoky flavor, Mac & cheese, and collard greens are also popular choices. Even when ordered takeout, the wings remain crunchy and enjoyable, though some items like coleslaw may not be to everyone's taste. The space isn't very large but offers dine-in service, take-out, and a bar. The restaurant is located in a small strip lot with shared parking. Whether for a casual meal or a fun night out, Backyard Barbeque is a great choice for a tasty and enjoyable experience. Recent reviews highlight the excellent food, especially the chicken wings and black beans, and the friendly hospitality that makes guests feel special. Some mention a wait time due to being understaffed or the chef's focus on perfection, but overall, visitors enjoy the well-seasoned, cooked-just-right dishes like catfish sliders, fried shrimp, and barbecue wings. The family combo with 3 meats and 3 sides, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and sides like candied yams and collard greens, receives high praise. The cozy atmosphere, good music, and overall experience make many eager to return.
