“Finest Italian food in upstate New York, and competes well even with NYC for excellent family style cooking with excellent presentation. Better than any restaurant currently in Ithaca.
Irregular hours, but we called ahead and he was expecting us.

“I stayed here at the Rogues Harbor Inn in a beautiful room in March with my daughter. We absolutely loved the place. The owner paid attention to detail with the pictures, furniture, room decor, etc. The place was so inviting! There was a most beautiful “ surprising” breakfast room when we opened the double doors to go in for breakfast! ( You will see when you go there… I don’t want to ruin the surprise)… Maybe my daughter and I are silly about things like this but our mouths dropped and we couldn’t stop smiling… Not to mention the best breakfast…Oh and there is a bar attached to the inn that you could only get back into the inn with your key card… The bar was a quiet bar, with great food and service, and we were so happy to get food after a long day of travel without getting back into the car! The history of this place was just so interesting, the place was impeccably clean and the owner was wonderful. We loved this place so much…5 stars all the way.. in fact we need to make another trip back soon!“

“THIS IS THE BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT IN ITHACA HANDS DOWN. I love this place so much. The women who works here is also so sweet. The menu is so great and diverse. “The sandwiches are actually quite good. I like that it is open for a long time so if I miss the usual lunch time and can still grab something to eat. Also there is rarely much of a queue so it is perfect for something fast. The Big Red Barn also has sandwiches but it takes them longer to make them, in my experience.“

“Got take out chicken teriyaki bento. It came with miso soup with seaweed and tofu, a choice of side (I got the seaweed salad which was great), chicken teriyaki with brocolli and carrot, white rice, and 3 gyoza/dumplings. Although it was take out, it was freshly made and was still delicious.“

“I highly recommend Ithaca Bakery! However last evening I had an experience that was less than horrible! I called ahead to request a French Bread loaf be brought out of the freezer. I would be there in an hour to pick it up. I went to where I normally pick it up where I was met by who I assume took my order, his name was Steve. I was informed I had to pick up my order at the “pickup”counter, completely on the other side of the building. There I found a young lady taking way too much time making espressos and coffee for a line of people 6-8 people deep. I was then informed by Steve(who appeared to be helping the person making coffee) that I had to go to the back of the line to get my one loaf of bread??? There are numerous points of sale in this normally buzzing eatery and I have to wait 30 mins to buy a 5$ loaf of bread???? Why????“

“Went here for my daughters 12th birthday with some extended family so there was 7 of us and the hibachi experience was just amazingly fun here at Sumo! I highly recommend! Thank you staff and cooks!“

“I think this is the best food in Ithaca, easily best food in collegetown - no contest. I eat here almost every week. Taproom burger and fried chicken sandwich are both fantastic. Fried chicken sandwich might be the best I’ve ever had !Two small improvements: fries are almost always too salty and the salad that you can get with your sandwich for $5 is poor quality. For $5 extra I would expect a lot better.“

“My husband and I came on Veteran's Day to have a late dinner after the gym. We got seated pretty quickly, and it wasn't packed at all. The majority of the customers were at the bar drinking, relaxing, or eating, etc.

My husband can eat a lot, so he took advantage of his free veteran's Entree meal while we also both ordered from the "2 for $26" special meal deal. We both got side salads and the Fiesta Lime Chicken (+$1.50 upgrade each). The food came out extremely quick, which we were happy about! There was a slight blunder that occurred when the kitchen sent out our food, but it was quickly resolved by our amazing server, who noticed he was still missing his second entree. Also, as someone who drinks a lot of water, our server quickly refilled my drinks, which I loved!!!

Overall, it was a lovely dinner night for the two of us who normally don't eat out as often. Our server was so friendly and attentative to us. Thank you for making our night!!! I don't remember her name, but she got sick tattoos!“

“Detasty is a great place in collegetown, they have good chinese food but at a bit of a price. Do remember I compare these with Indonesian restaurants which have crazy low prices. Try the chilli fried pork/chicken. The food here actually has spice for spicy food lovers“
