I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent visit was highly disappointing. We waited a very long time just to get our orders taken and for the food to arrive. To make matters worse, the steak was served burnt, ruining what should have been the highlight of the meal. Slow service is one thing, but serving badly overcooked food on top of it is unacceptable. Hopefully, management can address these kitchen and pacing issues.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly unacceptable.
We made a reservation for 7:30 PM well in advance and specifically requested a more quiet corner table because we had an important formal family event. The restaurant fully confirmed the request and assured us it would be accommodated.
Then, less than two hours before the reservation, they left a voicemail saying our table would actually be “about 15 minutes delayed.” Fine, not ideal, but manageable.
Except it wasn’t 15 minutes. We were left waiting for over 30 minutes and were not seated until after 8 PM. To make matters worse, we were eventually seated at one of the worst possible tables, right by the entrance door, extremely loud, crowded, and uncomfortable. Completely opposite of what was promised.
I had older family members with me who were visibly exhausted from standing around waiting. The only seating available while waiting were uncomfortable high chairs that were not appropriate for elderly guests.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude from the staff. There was little to no apology, no sense of urgency, and no effort to make the situation right. The waiter acted as though making guests wait 30+ minutes past a reservation time was completely normal and acceptable.
The entire experience ruined the beginning of what was supposed to be a very special evening. We ultimately had to leave in the middle and find another restaurant entirely.
If a restaurant cannot honor reservations or basic seating requests, especially after explicitly promising them, they should at least communicate honestly and treat guests with some level of professionalism and empathy.
I just had my daughter's bridal shower at Sparrow's this weekend and it was truly a magical day! Everything was perfect from the food to the staff to the preparation to get to the big day. If you are looking for a private party to celebrate a special occasion I can't think of any place better.

Absolutely Devine! I had the pleasure of visiting Sparrow for a work event where we had a family style luncheon. Although it was a prefixed meal with a variety of calamari, pizza, steak, chicken and salmon I am looking forward to visiting again with friends and family. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I was so consumed in conversation. The staff was very friendly and educated in the menu. Atmosphere was modern chic, definitely picture worthy. I cannot wait to see what they are like in the warmer months.

Incredibly overpriced for Valentine's Day. Base price $125 per person for a regular appetizer and standard entree. Shared dessert of two strawberries and chocolate. 1/4 a glass of prosecco each and 20% gratuity is mandatory. Ends up coming to well over $300 for a value of ~$140
Our appetizers were significantly better than the entrees. The entrees were expensive and disappointing. Stick with starters.
Lovely restaurant. While the entrees were delicious (Brick Chicken and Halibut) the presentation was lackluster. The house salad dressing was much too strong ( and I love vinegar). I would definitely return to try additional entrees.
Great restaurant coming from Chef Mike

Sparrow is such a beautiful spot!! Warm, stylish and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The cocktails were excellent, and the menu is incredibly creative and unique. Everything tasted soo fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We tried a mix of appetizers, pastas, pizzas, and entrées, and every single dish was delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. This is absolutely a place I’d come back to again. Can’t wait to try different things on the menu.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered three dishes and two drinks at the bar, totaling $95.50. My food was served on a broken plate, which is unacceptable. I politely asked for it to be replaced and remained respectful the entire time.
When it was time to pay, I asked to round the bill to $100. Instead of acting professionally, a male server made a rude comment saying I was “there for the vibe and to show off.” That was completely unnecessary and disrespectful. Quietly paying nearly $100 for a meal is not “showing off.”
What made this worse was the attitude from the male staff overall — dismissive, judgmental, and very different from how I’ve been treated on previous visits. A female server I’ve had before was always kind and professional, which makes this contrast even more noticeable.
Food was fine, but being served on a broken plate and then spoken to condescendingly is unacceptable. This place seriously needs to address staff behavior and professionalism. I would discourage people to be by the bar and won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful experience at Sparrow! The food and drinks were delicious! We truly can't wait to go back.
Food ambiance and service were all great! Going mid week was very nice because music was chill and noise level was low so made it easy to chat... also did the tapas pasta special/ highly recommend!
Amazing bartenders and waiters, such a great experience will definitely be recommending and coming back soon!
This is my 3rd visit to Sparrow! The same host is always welcoming and asked if we liked the table. Luciano was our server for the second time - consistently attentive and listens to requests (i.e., separating checks for take-out order). I truly appreciate the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant! We were a party of 4. Was asked about drinks right away and ordered one before friends arrived. My friends started with the Crab Cake and Caesar Salad with added Shrimp as appetizers - they enjoyed both. The other appetizer was the Sparrow House salad - simple and fresh. For entrees, my friends ordered the Cacio E Pepe (recommended by my mom and I). They loved this pasta dish! It is one of those pastas that is so simple, yet, rarely done right. Sparrow perfected theirs. My mom and I shared the Bone-In Ribeye - cooked medium (I would get medium rare next time. Every chef prepares it differently). Ribeye was nicely charred, juicy, and not a lot of fat on the cut, which we prefer! Ordered the Charred Broccoli and Truffle Hand-Cut Fries as sides. Personally, the broccoli was one of the best of all restaurants. The fries were a hit for the whole table. Both side portions feed a table of 4 people! Additionally, we ordered the Veal Meatballs and Margherita Pizza to go for a family member at home - items we have tried before and hit the mark. Overall, Sparrow delivers consistent / high-quality food and service. We will definitely return to try other items on the vast menu!
