Fantastic date night spot. Servers were pleasant and attentive, kept the table clean, without being overbearing or making us feel rushed. The food was absolutely delicious. The ricotta gnocchi with arugula pistachio pesto blew my mind as did the short rib appetizer. The banana pudding dessert was a little big and should probably be ordered for two.

Went here to celebrate my and my mom's birthday as a party of 4. Our waiter, Ed was attentive and made us feel very special, and the owner and host were also super accommodating. We had a lovely time, and I highly recommended!
I thought the food was ok….but the description of the dishes was lacking. My friend ordered a pasta dish not knowing that it was black pasta made with squid ink!!!! Absolutely no description on the menu… she couldn’t eat it. The rest of us got the burger which was good but the cacio Pepe was extremely salty and lacked pepper. We got banana pudding which was excellent!

Food and service were very good. Many menu options and special small plates menu. Just thought things were a little pricey. 30.00 pastas ? 25.00 apps. If you don't mind it then overall good night. Don't sit near Franklin Ave if the door is open can be noisy.
My favorite restaurant. It's beautiful decor and atmosphere just add to the amazing food. Service is always top notch. They also make the best old fashioned. The brick chicken is my favorite. I dream about it.
Previously I would have given higher ratings but this time we waited 35 minutes to be seated for our 8pm reservation. The drinks are always on point. No problem there. The food is delicious- ceviche, tartar, halibut, branzino, skirt steak, tortelloni all delicious. No problem there except for 2 things: staff began clearing appetizers when there was ALOT of ceviche and a few pieces of tartare left and our entree wasn't even ready yet. We had to tell her we were still working on it so she put the ceviche plate back on the table (took the tartar) but continued taking our individual plates. Made no sense. The other issue was that one of our guests ordered tortelloni and got 4 large pieces in total. It looked like an appetizer and needless to say he was still hungry and accepting offers from other people in our party. Not the best dining experience but simple enough to improve for higher markings next time.
This was our second try with Sparrow and I really want to love it here but sadly it fell short again for us. My drink lacked taste my halibut was overcooked and the surrounding veggies were over salted. The feta watermelon salad was pretty good . My husband liked the arancini balls but his hot honey flat bread had an odd aftertaste he thought it was the honey used. The atmosphere is beautiful service was average but the most irritating aspect of our dining experience were the three young girls taking videos of EVERY dish they ordered complete with a huge bright light attachment shining in my face for the majority of my meal. Note to management. If you know social influencers will be doing this videos seat them away from other diners. This was extremely rude and inconsiderate to us paying not cheap prices to have spot lights on and off of us the whole time . We didn't complain but we almost did as we left but we just wanted to leave. Sorry sparrow weve flown the coupe for good ?
The food was overly salted, and needed to be returned. However, the staff was very accommodating. In addition, the prices are quite high, considering the a la carte nature of the offerings. The wait staff was courteous, friendly and helpful.
Decor, yay! Food, nay! Service, okay!
I was so impressed with the design of the interior, it is gorgeous. But, the food fell flat. Menus are confusing and we out, a lot! Food is heavily seasoned and temperatures were off. I had a whole fish special and it was under cooked. I don't mind raw fish so I powered through. My "creamed kale" was over seasoned to a fault, verged yum, but way too salty and that ruined the heat. My friend got a salad with shrimp and asked for dressing on the side. Fail. Way over dressed and had to ask for new greens. We are not a fussy bunch but the food doesn't match the expectations of the prices and decor. Better places to eat on Long Island, without a doubt. Wait staff was kind and friendly but not attentive enough to pick up on all the food blunders.

Great looking place, very impressed with the look but not impressed with the food, calamari was dry n the sauce the serve it with was flavorless, the pop over, never had b4 n now I no never to have it again, salads were great very good, pizza was good but the ricotta n honey felt like if I bit into it I was going 2 break a tooth, crab cake was to fishy, the marinated skirt steak I ordered well done was burnt n I can taste the char, the drinks sucked honestly the linguini Nero was amazing the cacio Pepe was a little to aldente seemed undercooked but the flavor was good, the burrata had no flavor , the hummus I didn’t really like, overall not a place I double back for but the vibe was def great n the service was decent just didn’t like that I had to put the appetizers in with the entree, I like ordering my apps first then the main entree and the waiter told me I had to order everything at once which was kind of annoying same thing with the drinks, I like to order all the special house cocktails just to c what I like n don’t like and was limited to 1 even though the waiter let me get away with 2 but that kind of put a bad taste in my mouth being denied ordering more than 1 drink, so yea all n all beautiful restaurant just doesn’t match the food, save your money n go else where, there are many beautiful places in garden city with great food that knock this place out of the water

The place is beautiful, the vibe is great but the food is not really all that, I wouldn’t say all of it was bad but a majority of the food was bland n flavorless, not a bad place but not a place I would visit again or recommend

Pretty restaurant but over priced for the food you get.(and my family and I eat out a lot around LI). Our second time. I ordered a steak and they brought me the wrong one. They adjusted the price but the steak was not what I wanted and was a bad initiation of Peter Lugers. I ordered a McAllen 12. The waiter came back and said we have that but sherry oak. He didn’t mention they were charging more than double what you’d pay in a premier steakhouse. The cake was clearly not made in house. All in all pretty place but so many other places to spend the money they are charging.
