My wife and I visited this spring before it opened. They were painting inside, but Sarah, the manager, invited us in and gave us a tour of this beautiful historic building. In the five or six times we've dined there since, Sarah greets us with a hug like old friends and fits us in no matter the hour or crowd. The food is excellent, the menu vegan/gluten and dairy-free friendly, the service top notch. There's even a ghost. Alexa served my birthday dinner for nine yesterday (which Sarah arranged despite over-abundant holiday reservations). Thanks to her and Alexa - who's charming, efficient, and knowledgable on every dish - it went flawlessly. My guests, no strangers to world-class dining, were blown away. The Bird & Bottle is wonderful, but Sarah's special touch with the guests and staff elevates it to something truly extraordinary.
