In my opinion the best bar in Geneseo, a nice dive bar with great history. The staff is nice and the prices are on par with the other bars in the town. If you go order a dirty water, it's a staple and a must have item.
This is personally my favorite Geneseo bar. It's a cool atmosphere with taxadermied jackolopes hanging on the wall and a mix of college students and townies drinking, playing pool and playing darts. The Idle Hour is a touch more expensive than the other college bars, but I think it's worth it. Particularly of note are the dirty waters. In a dirty water is every type of clear alcohol--gin, vodka, tequila, rum topped off with a bacardi lemonade (it used to be a mikes hard lemonade)...read full review

The minimum on card purchases reminds me of native gas stations where you can't pump your own gas, but at least at the Idle you don't have to pour your own drink. Pretty strict when it comes to unders so you'll have to get a babysitter. Either way, cheap beers and good times.
