Started off great. Drinks on point. Salad was good. Shrimp cocktail arrived warm. Steak ordered medium rare was raw upon arrival. Scallops were cold upon delivery. Like purple and not even cooked. Lamb shank was fair. The grounds are really nice but the QC of the food was abysmal. Its a shame because it could be a really nice restaurant. Table of four arrived 30 minutes after us and received entree before ours?
Caveat. Not a wine drinker and have never visited the Finger Lakes. I enjoyed the scenery of the lake. I can recommend the miso salmon. Go with the local wine to get a full flavor of the area. Hope to visit again in this lifetime. Good job to the staff who waited on us. Friendly service and you cannot beat the ambience of the castle and the lake.
The salman/risotto/brussel sprouts was delicious, and my husband loved the filet. The burrata appetizer and choc. crusted cheesecake were the perfect book ends, and the view and spectacular view of Seneca lake made for a memorable evening. Brandon was an exceller server, thank you!
