La Ginestra offers terrific, authentic Italian food with delicious dishes like carciofi and veal marsala. The experienced staff provides wonderful recommendations, using fresh ingredients for every morsel. Despite tight seating on busy nights, the service is generally very good. Guests recommend trying the pasta with mushrooms, the fantastic Napoleon dessert, and the grilled artichokes. The restaurant also offers an excellent Eggplant Lasagna and Berkshire Chop. The wonderful thing about the clientele is that everyone seems to be having a good time. The menu has enough variation in the wine list for diners to find one they'll enjoy with their meal, and the overall inviting ambiance makes it a total dining experience. While the food, service, and ambiance are usually excellent, there may be occasional issues, such as slow service or dry dishes. However, the restaurant remains a go-to spot for excellent Italian cuisine.
