Hidden Pastures is the epitome of family owned! They create goat milk gelato from their own goat herd (goats are happy and receive lots of love from the owners children every day!). For anyone who is dairy intolerant, this is the product for you. Light, low in calories, and delicious. My favorite flavor is Maple! This is a must try in Lewis County, NY, and located along the Lewis County Cuisine Trail!

This farm is on route 12 and has a self serve farm store. Look for the farm sign on the left heading north on route 12 between Boonville and Lowville. When you see it turn into the farm. The self serve store has many ways they process goat milk but the gelato is our favorite. The mint flavor is bright and the gelato is not green because they don't die it green. It is great to be able to buy the products on the farm that produced them. They sell other local food products as well....read full review
