Based on six reviews, NY Makgeolli Brewery & Pub is a small, unassuming restaurant run by a kind couple. The food is incredible, fresh, and flavorful, with many dishes made using vegetables from the owner's garden. The grilled eel is especially delicious, and the home-brewed makgeolli is a perfect combination of dry with a little tang/sweetness. Every side dish has its own unique flavor. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, making guests feel right at home. The experience feels like a little piece of Korea. The place is clean, and the hospitality is absolutely incredible. It is worth the trip from NYC. Call in advance for the eel and consider paying with cash, as the internet is unreliable. This is a gem.
