Took a trip out to Greenport and planned on having Lunch at Bruce & Son. I knew they recommended reservations, but I took a chance as I wasn't sure what time I was going to be there. They were booked, but the hostess was so accommodating and said hang tight we can get you seats at the small counter area. I got the egg sandwich which was by far the best egg sandwich I ever had. The sugar bacon put this sandwich to another level! My dad requested just plain egg white and toast with a side order of chicken sausage that was amazing! I will definitely return and look forward to trying everything on the menu!

The staff was extremely kind. They found out it was my boyfriend’s birthday and they made an extra effort to give us a better seat and they also surprised us with a candle!they were very attentive and nice.
The food was also amazing.the menu is very simple but you can tell it is good quality. We hade a great time having breakfast!

This was such a nice, comfortable spot and friendly with several staple brunch foods but with a more international take on several dishes. They also had an amazing and healthy drink menu. I especially enjoyed their candied bacon and saffron butter scone! The only cons were that service was a bit slow and it was difficult to accommodate a large party size but we did stop by, without reservation, at a prime Saturday time slot. I would definitely recommend and return!

We had the: -Parsnip pancakes- fluffy, flavorful, topped with all kinds of silky crunchy bits (nuts, seeds, dried fruit, special butters…) -Mushroom French dip- Made with maitakes, which are like the Mercedes of mushrooms. Gruyere, Carmelized onions. Onion broth. -“Egg” sandwich- The simple name does an injustice. Fluffy folded eggs. Pickled onions. Fluffy brioche. Dijon spread. Sugar bacon. Cheese. Incredible.
Worth a trip to the North Fork alone for this wonderful spot.
