Ok hands down BEST ice cream I’ve EVER had. Best ice cream in Greenport & Sheltet Island. It’s family owned. Made in house. FRESH FRUIT in the ice cream. I almost don’t want to rate this place for fear that it’s going to become a busy mad house but also, I need this ice cream store to stay open for the rest of my freaking life. I went yesterday and am going back today.

Greenport Creamery is one of the stores selling ice cream in Greenport. It's close to the water and in the main road running north- south through town. It's pretty basic in that it has a good selection of ice cream, a selection of cones and beverages. Otherwise the store is rather spartan. Ice cream is cold enough so that it does not melt too quickly and the flavor is good but not delicious. If it's closest, then it will do but there is at least one other better ice cream store in town.
The only thing worse than the ice cream are the signs in this place.Whatever you do—do NOT start in line 1.

Best ice cream I’ve ever had. It was so creamy and delicious. The staff was so nice and friendly also! They went out of their way to ask if our dog would like a pup cup. Very sweet! They were also very quick and efficient. I wouldn’t skip this spot, definitely worth a visit!
