The Halyard Restaurant

A+ experience! The food was outstanding. Server was very pleasant and charming. Would definitely recommend.

The Halyard is such a wonderful place! During my stay I ate dinner twice, had appetizers after the Uncommon Artist talk and open studio, and cocktails after the Nameless Writers Salon. Each time it was excellent- the food is really exceptional and the ambience (I was there in the winter) was cozy and friendly.

The restaurant was freezing cold. I mean freezing cold. Waitress didn't tell us about any specials. We over head the waiter next to us telling the table after we were done eating. Manager offered two other tables a 25% discount due to the cold temperature and sent dessert home with them. We weee offered nothing. Not even a free dessert because we didn't complain. Even though we ate our dinner with our coats on. Coffee was ice cold when served to us.

Service needs to be vastly improved. Waited for 25 minutes to get our cocktail. Finally got our waiter's attention to order, after which he promptly turned to take the order of the table of 7 behind us who had been seated long after we were. When our main course arrived we had to again flag down the waiter to order a glass of wine with dinner, which finally arrived 3/4 through our main course. Apparently ‘the bar was busy'?

This was our first time dining at the Halyard and we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and the server was friendly and informative. We had a mix-up with my entree, but they quickly solved the problem. The restaurant was busy and our drinks took longer than anticipated. Again they offered a solution. We definitely will be returning to dine in the near future.

Bill (the manager) is the best!!! Halyard is 10/10 across the board. Food, service, drinks and ambiance. If you are on the “NoFo” it's a must!

One of our favorite restaurants by far! Always beautiful with delicious food and excellent service! The manager Bill is always so welcoming and makes our experience even better. The bar is also a great vibe and place to go. The bartender Krishna is excellent and makes delicious drinks. We will definitely be back.

Above expectations every time. The food is beautifully executed and worth high prices. The chef somehow has such a creative menu where it's actually hard to pick your entree. We had dinner and brunch. Lovely, views , service continues to be one of my favorite NOFO spots.

The NYE menu wasn't my favorite. Ate here once before in June and it was phenomenal. Not being able to order off the regular menu was disappointing but the service was great and ambience was outstanding

Service was a little slow especially toward the end when we were waiting for our check. We had the crudo appetizer which was completely ruined by the amount of salt, and I happen to enjoy lots of salt. The same thing happened with the short rib dish. A very big course salt was used, which is extremely salty! Ambience was great. It's the only thing I could rate a 5.

We celebrated a birthday here and I cannot say enough great things about our experience. The crudo of the day was tuna and it was amazing . The mussels were so tender and flavorful . The oysters were superb and the cocktail sauce was outstanding For entrees the swordfish was unbelievable . It was expertly prepared , its is a don’t miss! On the menu .The short ribs were so ,melt in your mouth, delicious. While we were quite full we had to try a dessert and they did not disappoint. Sugar cookie with peppermint gelato was so decadent the s’mores parfait was just the right amount of sweetness and richness. The chocolate and hazelnut gelato took us back to Italy, so good. Don’t miss the cookies with the perfect amount of chew and crunch.Chef George knows what he is doing and the service was perfect This restaurant is an absolute gem .

The food was ok. The service was kind of non-existent. Took awhile to place a beverage order or even get water. Then, we just gave up on ordering an after dinner drink. We've done the Halyard before for Thanksgiving and the spread seemed more extensive previously. There was no mac n cheese or green beans or oysters this year. Basically, decent food but not that much by way of variety. Way fewer sides than we would have had had we cooked ourselves.

Best smash burger I ever had , baked clams were great service was great too . Would definitely go back

What an amazing experience! I am told that the chef has changed. A few years ago I found the food and service uneven, and I had no interest in returning Well....that was then. The Halyard is now a destination spot with great food, top notch service, along with a waterfront view that's amazing!
