This is my favorite bar. Cheap drinks, pool table, heated smoking area and down to earth

Irish Whispers helped my spirits during my 2021 AT thru hike. It was so hot I needed AC for the night. IW was down the street and so I headed in for a few refreshments. Great people and friendly locals who told me crazy tales of days gone by. Thanks!

Best bar on earth. Veteran friendly, Been coming here for 4 years and has to be the best place I have ever had the pleasure of going to. You aren't just a guest here. Your friends and family are serving you. Locals know this is the best place to grab a drink, relax and kick back. Events are commonplace for holidays bringing the experience up to an 11. Never have I found a better place to grab a beer with the boys. If you are looking for a local place for locals, look no further. Bartenders are the best, drinks are cheap, and the people are fantastic. Don't expect anything special, but don't knock the little bar down the street from you. Sometimes you wanna go where everyone knows your name. And that's the whisper. And they're always glad you came.

I came on 10/15, and was met with an egregious moment in my visit. I was hanging out pretty much by myself and talking with other bystanders, when I looked near the entrance and saw the owner (I believe his name is Mark) with his hands around another patrons throat. I'm shocked to see this level of violence and negative attitude in a place that seemed previously peaceful. I will probably never be going back and I will be asking people around town about the internal root cause of situations that follow said drama. I personally don't believe if you're going to own an establishment (allegedly) that you should be putting your hands on your customers/employees regardless of past or present issues that may have occured. I'm extremely disappointed, and quite upset. I'm not sure what can be done to rectify this situation but I can ASSURE you I will NOT be recommending this place to anybody.I am asking that a manager or higher up contact me directly if they can, because i'm mortified by what I saw tonight.

You walk in and everyone is super friendly. Both the staff and their guests. Food is bar food but they don’t have everything on the menu bc something in the back isn’t working possibly the oven? Still the fries and the wings were very good and who can forget the balls! The fried balls were amazing. We saw a band here twice. But it doesn’t seem like they have bands there often. We just happened to be there when there was a band. Great place to stop in. I think it has so much potential, just add more food and bands and this place would be a 5 in my books.

Hadn't been in a couple of years. It used to be better. Honestly it was kind of boring and over priced.

Literally fell through the door and the fun began . Although it was my first time there, I felt like Norm at Cheers.? Fun little neighborhood dive bar with plenty of personality.

I went here on a Saturday night because There was dj but he only played techno no mix of music at all, even when I asked him, it’s honestly not the best bar to go to at night, no matter what you say it won’t change!!!

I came to this place with my aunt and a friend. our visit was on March 12, 2022. There was a winter storm and we could not find a place that could deliver. We happen to find this place and as soon as we go in, felt all the stares from everyone. Not sure why, but we didn’t feel welcomed. The young lady that did attend us proceeded to let us know that they don’t do table service which we were fine with. She then told us that the food is bar food and it’s not very good. After, mentioning it so many times, we got the hint that we were not welcome in this establishment. What made it very sad was that we were willing to eat “bar food,” especially since we were hungry. Also, we had read other reviews about the food being so great. I would just say beware of this place, if you aren’t one of the regulars they will make you feel unwelcome. I don’t recommend and won’t ever come back.

Best little dive bar in town. Aways holding events and parties with great bartenders and an awesome laid back and fun atmosphere

Interesting vibe.. in from out of town. Ordered food-- bartender didn't know what was on tap and didn't know where the menu was. Strike #1. there was no sauce or condiments for the very dry wings, as they proceeded to mention they have new owners so they're out for a run. Strike #2. Now let's talk about the experience. The patrons picked up we weren't from out of town and proceeded to hound us with questions (in a respectful manner) but one of the dudes straight up pulled out a harmonica and went at it which was such an experience within itself.

If I could give this place zero stars it would be a compliment. I literally just left the place completely sober, because a wasted girl spilled not one, but two of my drinks on the bar counter. Let me give you a little sense of the vibe going on in this place. The atmosphere was lively, as is Memorial Day Weekend, the customers were pleasant, and the bartenders were great. Unfortunately, this place is run by a fat, bloated, intoxicated, loud mouthed idiot who was trying to hit on the 25ish girl who knocked over both of my drinks. When I complained that my second drink was spilled by the girl who the owner was trying to hit on, he immediately came up and pushed his fat gut into my chest like he thought he was the mayor of Dodge City. Then he proceeded to say "Nah, she didn't knock over your drink". To which I replied, yes, she did. "No she didn't" was the only answer coming from this bloated moron. He was a stumbling idiot, slurring his words, and he somehow owns this place. Now on to the bouncer. The bouncer is an equally fat, bald, white trash resident with black studded earrings (very in style now lol) from somewhere in Greenwood Lake. Instead of comping me a drink, which they should have, considering the circumstances, this bouncer put on, I kid you not, black weight lifting gloves and said "You insulted the owner and now I'm the guy that's gonna make you leave!" With a slightly cross-eyed look on his face, he forced me out while also telling me to sign a tab for a drink that I didn't drink because it was knocked over by the girl the 55-60 year old owner was trying to hit on. Even that bartenders threw their hands up in the air. I did not sign the tab. This place is a disaster, run by corrupt, white trash degenerates that you would expect to see in the movie Deliverance. I am only up visiting for the weekend, and I would advise EVERYONE looking for a drink to choose elsewhere, because this place is a Good Ol' Boys Club that "don't take kindly to anyone with a full set of teeth."

My friends and I were looking for a bar open late and this was the only option. The vibe was off, unwelcoming and unfriendly as soon as we stepped in. The bartender was rude and took a while to acknowledge us and take our drink order. You will definitely get weird looks in this place if you aren't white and old! I wouldn't recommend if your a college student coming home for summer or really anyone.
