We had a wonderful, memorable time in the 1889 tour enjoying good food, superb wines and champagnes, and learning, in the fields, about raising champagne grapes and the techniques and tools to turn them into excellent champagnes. The staff was gracious, caring, and well informed about champagne making. Had a meal with different wines for each course. The chef was from Austria and the food was delicious ?. Well worth the money for both the meal and the wines. Dr Frank's knows how to orchestrate this type of event.
The wines are among the most sophisticated, and traditionally nuanced I have ever experienced outside of Europe -- and I mean little, hidden local domains in unusual regions over there, that only locals know, and keep secret for their own enjoyment! Bravissimo!
