Great food and service overlooking the water. Outside seating is fun when weather is good. Inside seating is nice and cosy around the bar area. May have to wait for a table in high season.

Loves this place! Great food, perfect view of the marina & you can never go wrong having a meal here. They get super busy in the summer, plan on waiting.

Stopped here for lunch on a business trip based on reviews. Nice spot on the water with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and laid back and food was good, though slightly heavy/greasy for lunch. Fountain sodas on the menu are actually from a can but thier homemade iced tea was delicious.

Great food and view. We like dining outdoors here even off-season and when it's chilly out, as long as the skies are clear. Such a nice vibe and friendly service. Have never had a bad meal.

The lentil soup did not seem homemade even though the description definitely made it sound as if it was. There was nothing special about it and the bowl was very small for $10! Definitely generally overpriced although everything else we had was good, just not exceptional. Wait staff is great, tons of regulars quite obviously-- making up the bulk of their business. Could you use a little spiffing up for the interior, as it's a little run down considering the prices, nice bar and great staff, and pretty good food. Very nice patio. Hostess (older lady) wasn't too friendly. :-(

I am writing my second review now, and it is a much improved review. Last night, five of us had a terrific , fun dinner. We were seated after a mere two minute wait. The service was friendly, fast, informative, and professional. No complaints!!! The fish and chips plus Cole slaw were very good. Two bottle waters were both fine. Lemonade was tasty. The lentils kale soup was fabulous, although I didn't taste much kale, but still one of the top 3 best lentil soups ever! Others said their fried flounder sandwiches and lobster sandwich were all very good. Casual ambience and fair prices so check it out!!!

My wife and I had lunch at the Canal Café today for our anniversary and had a very good experience. The waterside view was nice, the service was excellent, and the food was very good. I had the fried shrimp sandwich and my wife had the oyster poor boy. We started with a bowl of steamers. All very good.

Large lobster roll 40.00 wasn't exactly pouring out of typical roll would have liked to compare it to the 28.00 small. Lame little warm coleslaw typical taste nothing specialAnd typical seasoned fries which seems to be the norm everywhere. Fountain soda (diet coke) tasted odd , maybe dirty lines ????.Good friendly service great location.Food to me is Ok but overpriced . We go for the outdoor deck overlooking big buck boats.

Very nice atmosphere on the marina. We headed here for lunch and ordered the large lobster roll, ceasar salad and two cocktails. Our bill was $169.00 for two people. Sadly, this pricing is typical in the Hamptons areas whether you're a multi-millionaire or not.Food is served on paper plates and cocktails in plastic cups. The service is curt and swift but not unfriendly. They were super busy both times we went so I can understand. The large lobster roll was tasty and generous. It's served on a ciabatta roll, which I'm not crazy about. I personally prefer a more delicate roll so it doesn't compete with the lobster meat. The fries were nice and crispy. I didn't take pics of the food because they don't focus on the presentation here. The real reason I am leaving a review is for the amazing cocktail I had that I'm still thinking about today, weeks after we were there. It's called the Bad Hombre and was so delicious that we went back the next night for another round ?.If you are a fan of ginger and spice, like I am, you will love it. I am still longing for it, and I don't even drink tequila or alcohol much!

Had a wonderful lunch at Canal Cafe today. We enjoyed the escarole & bean soup, Lobster salad, salmon (cooked to perfection) and shrimp tacos. The table next to us had the chicken w rice n beans and it looked so good we got it to go. Our server, Tara couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. All around a memorable experience and we look forward to our next visit.
