Wow, for us to be seated party of four, to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the swordfish and it was very good. Ordered the Keylime pie for dessert and it was not quite up to my expectations. Very creamy, but I am taste was lacking and the crust was a little overcooked that the experience was very good. I get back into the neighborhood I will stop again.

Canal Cafe is a charming restaurant with a beautiful view of Shinnecock Canal, offering outdoor dining in the summer. The atmosphere is perfect, especially on sunny days when guests can enjoy the view of boats and the marina. The menu features fresh and delicious options, including fish and chips with sweet potato fries, steamed razor clams in garlic sauce, and calamari. The lobster roll is praised as the best on the east end of Long Island, traditionally presented with chunks of lobster in a light mayonnaise seasoned dressing on a ciabatta roll. The oyster poor boy is also highly recommended. The seafood is fresh and plentiful, complemented by nice chowder and local seafood. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available as well. Canal Cafe is a no-frills seafood spot with lots of seafood choices and a fantastic gazpacho. The service is prompt and friendly, with staff working well together to ensure a great dining experience. It’s a lovely place to enjoy a meal, whether seated inside or outside, though during summer weekends there is usually an hour or more wait to dine outside. With great food, accommodating staff, and scenic views, Canal Cafe remains a popular destination to savor fresh seafood.
