The restaraunt looks small from the outside but it's huge inside. It's very well decorated with Portugal contents, which was adorable. (See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. The food... we all had different feelings in regards to the food. Personally I thought my food was delicious. I had the puree of vegetable soup as an appetizer and following I had the grilled fish. All their meals comes with fries, rice and beans; which was enough for me to share with my Gf bc it was such a huge portion. My husband and one of our bf's both had steaks and they weren't too pleased as it was filled with fat. For appetizers we also tried clams casino, and melon with prosciutto. For dessert I had rice pudding one of my favorite Portuguese desserts. I would come back.**+by the way, the owner will be closing the restaraunt in two years, retiring and moving back to Portugal. If you want to try this place come before he shuts down. ***

My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary on Super Bowl LVIII Sunday. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We had a great meal, good wine, great service, romantic setting. Great Anniversary.

Excellent Portuguese restaurant in Harrison! My family and I have been coming to this place for years. We are fans of steak, paella, and mariscada. My favorite dish is the linguine with shrimp and cognac sauce. We also like the caldo verde soup. The free bread at the beginning comes with butter and olive oil. They also give you free Portuguese sausage. The ambiance is beautiful, and the restaurant is large. There are many dining rooms, which makes this place perfect for parties. A wedding anniversary was happening today, but it did not affect our meal at all because there were plenty of other rooms. Last month, my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary here, and we were able to occupy one dining room. It's also worth noting that they have their own parking lot. The service is always professional. I can't remember any time they made a mistake or were rude.

I learned about this place when I was at the new Portuguese Sardine store in Times Sq. The rep from Portugal told me about it. If that's not a recommendation, I don't know what is! We made a reservation for six. It steadily filled up with a mix of couples, families, a party. We were in the smaller room, very nice. My caprihina was lovely. I started with a stuffed clam, delicious. I had the grouper with shrimp sauce. Absolutely fantastic! Besides the piece of fish, there were shrimp and clams in shells. The sauce was like a thin bisque, utterly delicious. I might never get past this dish! My husband had the salmon, he said it was as good as our long missed restaurant, The Village Fish. I had his piped whipped potatoes, oh my. We had the chocolate cake, very fresh and moist. Came with fruit and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We'll be back, looking forward to it!

The waiters were very attentive. We came in with a party of 8 and they were quick to seat us. The table wine that they served was good and very inexpensive. Most of us ordered fish and it was tasty. We will be back there again for a nice romantic Friday dinner.
