Hastings Center Diner

This is my 2nd time coming here. First time service was very slow. Second time didn’t disappoint - slower. Diner had 3 occupied booths. Waited for about 5 minutes before server came over. Took our order and 10 minutes later we were still waiting. It was a basic breakfast order eggs & toast. Hubby asked for water. Instead of server asking how many waters since there were two of us she brought only one water.
Never came over to ask if we wanted a coffee refill.
For the prices charged service must improve and quantity of food must increase.

My family arrived 1/2 hour before closing, not realizing the closing time. They were so accommodating and told us not to rush. My chicken kabob dinner was delicious. And enough to take home for the next night. We will be back

My wife loves a diner. Me, I love when my wife is happy. She loves this joint. Coffee is good. Service is friendly. Menu is comically large and I always get eggs and end up happy.

I got a simple hamburger. The burger itself didn’t appear to be seasoned at all. The fries and pickle tied for my favorite part of the meal. A drink was delivered to the table with something floating in the bottom. They don’t appear to clean the windowsill. There was an ant crawling across the table. There was a giant wasp in the back corner of the restaurant. I’m not sure why they choose to leave the doors wide open as it lets these kinds of bugs in. The restaurant itself was relatively quiet, other peoples voices carry in the place making it hard not to hear others conversations.

Solid and reliable neigborhood diner. We go there often and always get consistent good food and service. Look forward to going there again.

Diner with comfortable seating and friendly hosts. Perfectly fine for bagel and coffee break. Toilets downstairs.

A typical place to eat with all the essentials to eat alone or with the family. By the way, the people who serve are very friendly and helpful, Spanish is spoken with the star waitresses. Excellent place outside the tourist area......#@

Service is lousy & not worth the price.This place was recommended to me so I took my mom to breakfast on Sunday. There were only a handful of guests. After 12mins My mom had to asked for menus. 15mins later, Not a single server had come to take our order. We got up & left.

This dinner is part of Hastings history. The atmosphere is great. Marble floors tables and walls. The food was great, and grapefruit juice was fresh. Seinfield and Hasan Minhaje were there for shooting a show. The service was great. The lady who served us was very kind and attentive to our requests.You can walk into the dinner from the back where the parking lot is. It is meter park but you can park for free after 6 pm in the parking lot.
