Myself & my husband were visiting the region and happened upon Vesuvios by accident. What a beautiful restaurant with even more beautiful food. The atmostphere was great, complimented by the classic crooners soundtrack throughout the room. Our FOH server was James who was very professional and knowledgeable about the food he was serving. However, the true gem of this restaurant is Head Chef Johnnie, who is the American Dream personified. His passion for the food that he is making is unparalleled. James was very right when he said that each dish Johnnie serves has his added TLC. We started off with the appetiser special of broccolini & sausage. The flavour balance was incredible and yes we licked the plate clean. But the true highlight of the night were the meat raviolios - OMG. The best I have ever had in my life, and that is no exaggeration. To think that Johnnie makes these by hand, complimented by a stunning meat sauce on top. Thank you Vesuvios; please God our travels brings us your way once more.

Came last year when in area, did not disappoint. Great personable service, menu, specials, wine list (including excellent house wines by the glass). Reasonable prices although i should have been told that the daily special i had (osso buco risotto) would be considerably more than almost everything else on the menu. Will come back every time

I highly recommend this place. Every dish my friends and I had was finger-licking good. From the escargot, meat ravioli, and risotto to the bowtie pasta, baby back ribs, chicken parm, and the delicious shots the bartender made for us, everything was amazing. The outside may look a bit outdated, but don't let that deceive you—the inside is beautiful. The server, bartender, and Chef Joni were all fantastic. We even asked the server to call the chef out so we could thank him personally.

Amazing service! Phenomenal food! First time visiting the area. Did not see many options for fine dining. Drove passed Vesuvios and visited during our time and fell in love! The ambiance was very beautiful and intimate. Had to meet the chef Yoni! Definitely knows his stuff! Every bite was flavorful and savory!

Some of the best food I've ever had, great service from friendly staff, and a warming atmosphere to top it off. From the first appetizer, we instantly knew we made the right call coming here. Every dish that came out proceeded to top the one before it, eventually culminating with two of the daily specials that were great twists on more common dishes. Every dish was prepared to perfection, every ingredient tasted fresh, and the combination of ingredients on each plate greatly complimented each other. This is NOT your typical "Italian" restaurant where half of the dishes taste like tomato sauce, or everything is topped with cheese to mask the bland flavor of the meals. The staff here were incredibly nice, especially the manager. Everyone here was welcoming, made good conversation, and was attentive to customers. The restaurant itself was clean and simple, while still having scatterings of decor that give it character and personalization, like the dozens of miniature "Christmas Village" buildings tucked above the bar that find themselves at home any time of the year.An easy 5/5, and if I could rate it any higher, I would. Highly recommend, I don't think anyone could be disappointed here. We're only in town for a couple of days, so normally we try not to repeat restaurants, but this place is going to be hard to avoid over these next 48 hours...

Went on 2/22/24. This was a cute restaurant with an attentive staff and a decent menu. The rigatoni with "Sunday gravy" was very delicious, though it was overwhelmed by too much sausage (a Sunday gravy should have a balance of meats). I thought the shrimp stuffed with crab appetizer and the fried zucchini appetizer were soso, and I was put off by them charging $7 to share a plate though.Overall not a bad place to go.
Great place to

Returning to Windham for the weekend and chose Vesuvio’s for dinner and was disappointed in the service we received. In over 90 minutes, we received only water, 1 cocktail and 2 appetizers. We left without entrees being served. Overall, the wait staff is very kind, but kitchen management should be reviewed.

It was the worst Italian food I ever ate. The bread was dry. We ordered steak and pasta. Couldn't eat the pasta that was cold and poorly made. The sauce was terrible. The steak was ok, no flavor, the potato crumbled, and old. The service was OK. When we wanted to pay, I needed to look for the waitress to hand her the card because they never came to take it. It's not worth your money.
