We passed by Hapag on our way back to NYC from Kingston, and I’m so
glad that we did. I grew up on the west coast but have lived in New York for 9 years now, and this is the best Filipino food I’ve had out east. We got the bangus sisig, lechon kawali, halo halo, and turon, and everything was amazinggggg!! Cecelia helped us and was so welcoming and hospitable, which was the cherry on top considering how much I’ve been missing home as of late. This is a must visit if you are in the area, and we’ll be sure to stop by on our next visit north!

Never get to eat here but twice in 3 weeks now that they are not open when they said they are! If you cannot get your things together, change your posted time. Very frustrating. Have no desire to try the 3rd time when we have to guess if they will be open or not.

My lovely wife and I went here for lunch on the way to Minnewaska to celebrate our Anniversary. The hostess is very welcoming, attentive, kind, and overall a great person. We ordered the Pork Sisig and Pancit. My wife was so happy in how the Pancit tastes like home. It is not overly sweet with oyster sauce, and yet very flavorful. The Pork Sisig is very crispy and blends well with the peppers and onions. We both enjoyed our lunch here!

So I called in them early to make sure they were open, there was no mention of needing a reservation. We drove 1 hour to visit this restaurant. After we got there, a waitress yelling from across the room saying “I’m sorry we are full.” It was clear that they were. My wife then asked if we could to make a reservation. She said we can and we did. She took our number saying she was going to call in one hour. After waiting OVER an hour we decided to call only for them to say that the chef went on break. That told us that they would not have called if we didn’t take the initiative. Also, they had my wife’s number to at least let us know and update us on the wait and situation. I felt the level of professionalism was low and to wait over an hour for little consideration was not worth it at all.

Excellent food but do not try to make a reservation online on Resy or any other platforms - they do not actually take online reservations!!! I was coming in from out of town and had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. my train ended up coming in earlier so I changed the reservation to 6:30. When I arrived I told them the name of the reservation was under they were not able to find it. They asked me if I had made a reservation online and I said yes and they said oh you shouldn't have done that because we don't look at those.

My companion and I ordered and the food came out promptly. It was all hot and fresh and well-made and delicious. We got the lumpia rolls and pork and fish sisig dishes. Everything was soooo good and the portions were huge. The dessert menu also looked really good but unfortunately they were out of basically everything so we were not able to order.

We got to around 7:30 p.m. and another couple of people came in saying that they had a reservation for 7:30 but the server told them that they did not take reservations online and that they had no record of their reservation and that actually the restaurant was about to close so they did not seat them. I guess I am glad that I ended up showing up early or I would not have been able to eat here...

The overall ambiance is very authentic in that it's kind of a hodgepodge type place that feels very much like being in Asia.

Docked points just for the sheer chaos and unprofessionalism of the reservation system. And for listing dessert menu items that weren't available.

My daughter wanted to try this restaurant because we love South East Asian food. It was my first time trying Filipina food. The food was very good most importantly the staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. I got treated to the Filipina hospitality that I’ve heard so much of 😊. I feel genuine appreciation from this establishment which is a rarity. This will be one of my favorite to visit.
