Beautiful place to have dinner. Like other reviews mentioned, service wasn’t the quickest and the food was ok/good, but nothing to rave about. Given the location it brought it up to 4 stars from 3. I typically don’t like to be critical but this place could be sooo much better if they buttoned up the service and worked on their food options and flavoring. Will try again in a year or two but no urge to go back anytime sooner than that.

UPDATE: We came back a year later and everything was much better! We met the owner, she was delightful. The food and service was much better and they even spoiled our black lab. Highly recommended

Fantastic food at a fair price, definitely get a meal here. Got eggs benedict that was absolutely phenomenal! Great tuna tar tar, and wonderful cocktails too! Everyone was so nice, couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our celebratory birthday dinner at Salpata was wonderful! We had never been here before, and thought the venue & grounds were so cute, and we loved how it was so close to the water. I can only imagine how nice it would be to dine outside during warmer weather! But we had a wonderful view from the indoor dining area. The staff & service & atmosphere all were great. The food and drink menu had several unique items, and our food was delicious. The only reason I did not give the food 5 stars is because the steak had a bit more gristle than I would have liked. But the squash soup & stuffed salmon was very good. And the complimentary birthday dessert was a special treat! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Beautiful ambience. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The entire staff acknowledged us throughout our dinner. They made our anniversary dinner special. We highly recommend Sapalta.

Hangar steak was good but undercooked. Stuffed salmon was unique but tasteless. Specialty bourbon drink was good. Sangria was delivered after our soup and was poor. Tasted like it was just made (not marinated with fruit) and sour.

This entire place is a bucket-list experience! From the lodging to the restaurant, everything is 5 stars. Located conveniently from wineries and attractions as well. Also has one of the best sunrises in the FLX!

Saturday brunch before heading out to three wineries. Christina was very pleasant and our breakfast meals were lightyears better than the previous night's forgettable, practically inedible dinner. Stay at Plum Point; enjoy the weekend breakfast entrees at Sapalta and your day in the area then dinner in Watkins Glen or Geneva.

Great view of the lake when sitting outside. Glad we returned after 3 years both the food and the service was great. Seeing the rise of the harvest moon and its reflection off the lake was definitely a bonus. Well worth the visit.

Very limited menu. Food was good, not great. Friendly, attentive service. Amazing outside seating with views of the lake and a full moon.

Sapalta was an amazing restaurant with a fantastic bar and great service! Everything on the Plum Point Lodge property is top notch!

This farm-to-table restaurant was excellent. We had the wild mushroom soup and stuffed salmon for dinner in addition to the eggs benedict and peppercorn burger for lunch. What a wonderful experience.

High dinning near the finger lakes with a beautiful outside dinning area. Drinks are creative and food is tasty simple and elegant.

Totally disappointing, made reservation couple weeks prior, had to confirmed it the day before, showed up last night, learned restaurant not open, was told they sent me email in the morning, a phone call or text would have been more appropriate. They were unapologetic and bit rude, blaming Open Table for not adjusting to their new “winter hours”, seems to me restaurant personnel should check that Open Table has made the adjustment. Interestingly their web site indicates that it is available “daily 4 to 9”. So they haven’t even changed their own web site, can’t blame that on anybody else. So at 7pm we were left with no place to eat as other local places were booked. They don’t deserve our future business.

The good and service is amazing! Recommend 100%, it was the only place open on Monday night, but it worth every single penny!

Well not impressed. Very limited menu with many sandwhiches ..The chicken sandwich had a burnt bun and the pickle was a raw cucumber. Mayo was non existent.. the salmon stuffed cabbage was very bland. The aoli on it was the same. Disappointing. MY husband planned it for my big birthday. He felt bad. Was it bc they had a rehearsal dinner and wedding weekend. It's a pretty spot on the lake but the food is not
Then we had creme brulee and the carmelized sugar crust was burnt. I complained to waitress hoping it would be removed from bill but all she said was yeah sometimes get heavy handed with torch... I'll let them know..no doubt the chef. Not a spot I'll return to
