I do not normally leave five star food reviews in particular but I sat here for half an hour after I was done eating. Couldn't find a single thing wrong. The presentation on the food is perfect. The cheesecake perfect chicken wing roll. Perfect attitude of the person answering the phone exceptionally amazing. The staff repeatedly is always giving you that old-time retail positive experience that you want. As a customer. I have 20 years experience in retail by the way custom food changes. By the way the owner purposely mentions hey. If there's a problem let me know because if I don't know I can't fix it! I've never had a problem with the food but the fact that they ask and encourage feedback that's also not something you see everyday. Thank you everyone. I appreciate an extremely well made meal from probably one of the best crews in the state!

I will not be supporting this business. The owner has publicly shared and defended content that makes fun of people with disabilities, including using highly offensive language. That behavior is unacceptable and speaks volumes about his character and values. As someone who believes in basic decency and respect, I can’t overlook that.
In addition, when dinner plate was at its previous location, I personally saw a mouse inside the restaurant, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety.
Between the disrespect toward the disability community and past sanitation issues, I do not feel comfortable recommending this place to anyone.

We are new to the area and have been trying different eateries. We finally went to the Dinner Plate and I can not say enough about this place. Our new favorite and so close to home! The owner, George who also served us was gracious and welcoming. The food is a culinary masterpiece as directed by the owner who is a master chef! We are looking forward to trying everything on the menu including the homemade pizza! We sat at the bar and felt quite at home! This is comfort food and comfort dining at its best!

First time visit, but not my last! I had the schnitzel and it was excellent! My girlfriend had chicken parmesan. She had potatoes au gratin instead of the pasta, she really enjoyed it! Our salads were beautiful and delicious! The garlic knots were very good too!

The Dinner Plate is an absolute gem in Stamford! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The food is outstanding — hearty portions, full of flavor, and made with care. I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo, and it was delicious — rich, creamy, and more than enough to share.
The service is just as impressive as the food: friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for both a relaxed meal or quick takeout.
It’s clear that this place takes pride in what they do, and Stamford is lucky to have it. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and great people.

We were in town visiting friends and looking for a good pizza spot open Wednesdays since a lot of options were closed. The Dinner Plate was open and did not disappoint.
The owner went out of their way to accommodate a request we had and had our order ready for pickup in a reasonable timeframe considering how busy they were. I also appreciated that the owner requested feedback to ensure he had the opportunity to make things right if we weren't happy.
With that, we were happy with our pizza. Toppings were high quality and the flavors were good. If we end up in Stamford again, we'll definitely be heading back to The Dinner Plate.
