Maple Steak & Ale Reviews
We always have a fantastic time at Maple Steak & Ale. The food was delicious, Krista was the best server, and the dessert...so tasty! Pinky on the piano, playing the saxophone, really set the tone for a great evening!
Our waitress was very pleasant, very professional, and I'm sure it was not her fault that the service was extremely slow It took us 45 minutes to get a glass of water and our drink order Dinner was also very, very slow in arriving, although everything was delicious Enjoyed the pianist I do have a suggestion that you need to have available more high Quality vodkas and Jen, such as Hendrix and Belvedere or at least cattle one
We have been dinning at at the Maple room for over ten years. and have seen the price of Twin Lobster meal go from $38.00 to $60.00 . On this visit the lobster tails seem smaller and for $60.00 price. I believe the portion of mashed potatoes and other entrees should have been larger. We also had to wait twenty minutes for the lava cake. We should have been offered more bread, drink refill during the this wait period. Maple Steak & Ale is a restaurant that offers a mixed experience. While the service can be uneven, with some servers taking the time to ensure a pleasant dining experience and others being less attentive, the food can be a concern. Steaks, in particular, may be overcooked, with some being served well done despite being ordered medium rare. However, the restaurant's appetizers, such as mussels and scallops, and desserts can be enjoyable. Recent reviews mention that the service is great, and the atmosphere is pleasant, with a lovely setting, background music, and a piano that adds to the ambiance. The music, especially Pinky's piano performances, along with vocals and saxophone, create a lively and enjoyable environment. The menu has seen some changes, including the removal of the lamb appetizer, which was highly praised, and now features more pasta dishes that receive positive feedback. The Caesar salad is excellent, and the charcuterie board, with local cheeses, fruit, meats, breads, and dipping sauces, is highly recommended. Desserts such as carrot cake and caramel cake are favorites, with suggestions for pies with ice cream, like apple pie, being popular. The restaurant offers good value, with dishes like steaks and fish cooked to perfection and served with delicious potatoes and vegetables. Some meals, like twin lobster tails, are particularly praised for their quality, although others, such as a Porterhouse steak and lobster tail, may not meet expectations if not cooked properly. Overall, Maple Steak & Ale provides a cozy atmosphere with good food and attentive service, making it a place with potential for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience.
