I ordered takeout for a picnic and really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately, the fried chicken needed to be cooked longer. While the calamari was slightly overcooked, the sushi was good. The atmosphere had a nice ambiance, so I might consider dining in for sushi next time.

Walked in, ordered dinner, and took home. Usually, the food is great, but this time, while service was kind and efficient, some items were incorrect, and one was missing. The prices are quite steep for these types of errors to happen, and there was only one other guest placing an in-person order while I was there. I am commenting here, because I know someone else must have gotten a mixed-up order, too. While everyone makes mistakes, this kind of mistake is crucial to customer loyalty. A vegeterian item was missing, so one member of our family had to choose an alternative item from our kitchen at home (defeats the purpose of picking up dinner.)

I asked what the different sauces were and the waitress kept telling ...this is good for rich thus is for sushi ........instead of telling all the sauces and letting me make a choice...I had to explain to her you are selling the food tell what all you have...didn't listen to me at all...after all of that I home and tge FOOD TASTES LIKE A BAD OF GARBAGE...JUST HORRIBLE...NEVER COMING BACK

Shogun Japan is a gem for sushi lovers, offering an authentic experience that delights from start to finish. The moment you step in, the serene, beautiful décor sets the tone for a meal that's both intimate and exceptional. The sushi here is simply outstanding—every piece is fresh, beautifully presented, and crafted with care. Opting for the sushi dinner choice was a highlight. Allowing the chef's expertise to shine through in a perfectly balanced progression is a top choice for anyone. They also have other menu items like fried rice , rolls, calamari, dumplings, and so much .

Been coming here ever since they opened years ago. My family always order these: tempura shrimp appetizer, house special fried rice, and my fav hibachi steak and salmon. Their chicken/beef/shrimp teriyaki bowls are also pretty good and affordable. The yum yum sauce is the best. I love their crunchy rolls and the special OMG roll. Sweet tea and tempura ice cream! I consider these my comfort food.I admit that the food and service got worse during the pandemic, but I think they're getting up there again. Not quite as good as when they first opened, but still good nonetheless. Definitely one of my fav/best eats within the area.

My husband & I are avid sushi/sashimi consumers, 1-2 times a week. We decided to try here since it’s closer to home than our usual spot. Shocked by all these review saying the sushi was great. It’s extremely amateur and lacking in taste & freshness. We ordered $50 worth in sushi and was given 3 pieces of ginger, one soy sauce and one chopstick. I told my husband to go in & ask for another set and he said the woman was extremely rude and was hesitant to even give it to him. First & last time ordering from this place. ✌?
