“This is actually quite a nice place. It's fairly clean. At least the counter and drink area were very clean. The floor could use a little work. I'm sure they'll work on it after they get through this little rush. The food was good as always. I especially like to dip my biscuit and the chicken into the mashed potatoes. The service was friendly, and i quickly received my meal. So yes, I recommend this location.“

Both were tasty, just right. Prices are fair. Service is fast. There is seating in case one wants to eat there. Basic simple.

Now the atmosphere? Different story. Pull up after dark and it feels like you’re stepping into a rap video without a camera crew. Young heads posted up front like it’s their business, sizing you up like you just walked into the wrong project building. Ain’t no “how can I help you?”…more like “what you lookin’ at?”

I order online now. Not ‘cause I’m scared, but because I like my drumsticks without drama and my fries without feeling like I’m about to get lined up.

Crown Fried Chicken got heat in the kitchen, but outside? Feels like you need a pitbull and a prayer.“

“We got the chopped cheese w/ fries and the mixed chicken & lamb over rice. Both were great. The service was quick and friendly. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity.
I regret not going to this place sooner, as I live around the corner. I thought it was only fried chicken.
I hope my next visit is just a good.“
