Worst food ever! Need new chef that's for sure. This place has so much potential. Change chef and menu and you will have my business again!

Public warning: I noticed that every time I eat here I get a stomach ache. I didn't realize it was the food here that was causing it until it happened several times after eating here. Needless to say I won't be eating at Backbar anymore! Just gross!

Very cool space. We only had drinks, so I don't know anything about the food but this place has a great bartender and really eclectic, comfortable atmosphere.

I very rarely leave reviews at all, good or bad, however, I feel compelled after the third bad experience. The food here is either under cooked or over cooked and it is always overly greasy. The place is very dingy. I'm not going back.

I went to dinner here tonight (Friday) and ordered the cheesy corn tteokbokki and a Caesar salad. Honestly, the tteokbokki was more like a bowl of cheese sauce for $16. My 8-year-old could make a better dish. The Caesar salad was just as disappointing at $17. The romaine was brown, the dressing was way too thick, and the crispy rice was greasy mush. It’s such a shame because I was here last summer and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely not worth the price or the visit this time.

I've gone there several times over the last month only to find them to be closed when it clearly states that I am there within the hours of operation.

Be cautious with this place. It can take them over 45 minutes just to make a bowl of Dandan Noodles. There’s no warning when you place your order—you’re simply left waiting. If you check in, the staff’s attitude is dismissive: no cancellations unless you’re willing to lose the money you prepaid. No apologies either, just a shrug and “the kitchen is backed up,” as if it’s the customer’s fault. And the food? As bad as you can expect. The saltiness is so over the top it feels less like cooking and more like punishment.

Why is all the food excessively sour.
The food here had me rethinking my life, in a bad way.
People! We only have a certain number of meals to eat in our lives. Let’s eat good food.
Ok it wasn’t that bad but if ur Asian yeah dont come here.
I give an extra star bc the vibe was cute and the server was nice.

Hard to resist a patio food and drink spot on a sunny afternoon. Pleasant atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered a few oysters from an outdoor trailer which were OK, and a few drinks from the register inside. You have to place order there. Service staff were very nice but had some challenges keeping track of our orders. Little scoop of salad, maybe the kale, was edible but unimpressive.
